Israel will use more aggressive force in the future to prevent ships from breaking the sea blockade on the Gaza Strip, a top Navy commander told The Jerusalem Post on Tuesday.

 

"We boarded the ship and were attacked as if it was a war," the officer said. "That will mean that we will have to come prepared in the future as if it was a war."

Eighth largest navy in the world, third largest in Europe. Thanks to Wikipedia there but I knew it would be a decent size, just wanted to check exactly how large before posting. Turkey (think Ottoman Empire) has been a major naval power in the Med for centuries.

Because they're too scared of America lobbying them all up as part of the 'axis of evil' and doing an Iraq on them all if they ever dared to do anything to harm Israel. Also if you asked for public opinion on the ground for the majority of Arab states then they would all be doing what they could to help Palestine.

Not only does it have a very powerful Navy, but their Army and Air Forces are very large and fairly powerful, too. Turkey is a hard cunt, no diggidy.

The Israeli army is probably the best pound-for-pound fighting machine in the world for my money, its parachute and special forces are second to none, it's airforce is probably the second best equipped in the world too but its navy consists of an angry Hasidic Jew in a canoe. Shit could get fruity if the Turks send ships. It'll no doubt be a veritable festival of F-16s.
