Details of the plot of the new Indiana Jones movie have been revealed.

 

The fourth instalment in the franchise will see Harrison Ford's adventurous archaeologist tackling a group of Soviet spies led by Irina Spalka (Cate Blanchett).

 

The film opens with Indiana and sidekick Mac (Ray Winstone) in a remote airfield in 1957, the height of the Cold War. Indy, who has been fired from his university teaching job, meets delinquent Mutt Williams (Shia LaBeouf), who wants him to help with a mission.

 

In return, Mutt will lead him to the powerful Crystal Skull of Akator, one of archaeology's most spectacular discoveries.

I wouldn’t mind a James Bond style reboot, a new actor putting a twist on a classic character, but surely Waller-Bridge stops it being Indiana Jones anymore?

 

Whats she going to do? Ignore her other actors and talk to the camera “…And then I had to leap onto a Nazi submarine to stop them opening the Ark Of The Covenant…”.

 

They should have made more when Ford was younger. There have been 9 Fast & Furious movies.

Watched them all back recently and Skulls is a better film than Temple. Temple is fucking awful tripe from start to finish. Skulls had more memorable characters and better action scenes (ants aside) it's a hill I'll die on.

I tend to agree, I really don't like Temple despite enjoying it when I was a boy, I now find Kate Capshaw and Short Round very annoying.

 

I hated Crystal Skulls at first and there are still some things I don't like but like you, I prefer it to Temple of Doom.

 

Never thought I'd say that 10 years ago.
