He's the one that loses out. My thinking is with a deeper defensive player, but if you went with De Bruyne in the hole instead, then Gerrard and Vieira would probably be the call. But it's him or Keane, depending on the setup, for me.

 

Wouldn't disgrace any selection, nor would Scholes (but he's a step back for me as I don't think he'd ever drive a side forward like the other four could).

Gerrard and Vieira are both more complete midfielders than him comfortably. 
 

You can’t compare KDB and Keane as they played completely different positions.
