Nothing Howard could do last night unfortunately despite his best efforts. Valencia had about 7/8 fouls at least half worthy of yellows and didn't get booked till about the 70th minute.

There was plenty other shit he let them away with and didn't give Newcastles way.

But was great to see the Geordies blow the Manc's 12th man plan out of the water.

BBC Sport - Luis Suarez case: Ferguson says 'no' to peace talks

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson says there is "no need" for peace talks ahead of his team's home clash with Liverpool on 11 February

Liverpool want a board-level meeting with United to restore harmony following the Luis Suarez affair.

But Ferguson said: "I do not see why there is any need for it."

The Old Trafford match is likely to be Suarez's first away match after his eight-game ban for racially abusing Patrice Evra.

The Uruguay striker faces severe treatment at Old Trafford and Liverpool want to reduce the offensive chants Suarez is likely to endure.

When questioned on reports that Liverpool would like peace talks at the club's press conference on Friday, Ferguson said: "It is nice of them to do it through the press.

"You would have thought they would come to Manchester United first. I do not see why there is any need for it but I have nothing to say about it."

Relations between the two clubs have been at a low ebb and, while accepting the punishment of Suarez, Liverpool were unhappy with the decision.

After Suarez issued an apology - though not to Evra - for any offence his use of the word "negro" may have caused, Liverpool want to build bridges with United but are continuing discussions with the FA over an investigation process they believe was flawed.

United have said little on the entire matter, other than questioning Liverpool's public statements prior to the hearing.

Pleeease just fucking die you cunt

Is our club really this fucking amateur or are the FA and all the press genuinely up Man uniteds arse.

They come out of this fiasco smelling sweet and fresh when the whole thing was one massive manipulation of facts. If the press aren't in uniteds pockets then they are plainly fucking cowards as stupid as the twats who read their shit.

This peace talk thing is bollocks IMO. Instead, LFC are pushing the idea that opposition fans and their clubs should be stopped from abusing Suarez when he returns - and in particular the incendiary nature of his 1st away game which happens to be at Old Trafford.

We are highlighting security and protection of our player, it's got fuck all to do with peace and goodwill between the clubs that went out the winddow once Ferguson walked in the door and will remain so until the horrible cretin fucks off

He doesn't see the point because he knows he'd have to answer some very tricky questions.

It needs pointing out that he is being unprofessional and irresponsible. If we can't get some kind of reassurance that there won't be hostility of the highest level and 73k vicious gobshites at it non stop then we should demand that he gives us the required reassurance.

He's a fucking bully but at the same time he's scared shitless of us because we have never brown nosed him and we know him too well to be fooled by his shit stirring, especially Kenny.

I never thought I could detest this over rated bag of shite as mush as I do since his underhand dishonest manipulation of the Evra situation.
