Real in for Benzema, apparently

The more I look at this, the more I think Real are playing a blinder here. If I'm not wrong, they have done this now because they will go all out to secure European Cup No10 on their home turf.

In terms of the players who might be let go, Real can dictate terms to them because none of them will want to stagnate in World Cup year. Real can effectively ask for top whack, rather than letting the players involved set their own agenda, as to put it simply, players deemed surplus to requirements will either

A - be sold to interested parties at top whack, meaning Real claw back some of their ridiculous outlay, or

B - sit tight, getting little to no football in an important season, and face missing out on playing for their country at the World Cup. The knock-on effect of this action is that the player is seen as more trouble than he's worth and cannot command the top wages on any future contract.

The only fly in the ointment is the players that stick around when not required could kick up a fuss behind the scenes, affecting dressing room harmony. Say that, club legend Raul is not averse to creating problems if things don't go his way.

Madrid would be turning their name to mud with future transfer targets if they played like that, really.

Those players listed for an exit need to stick in transfer requests, right now.

You would think so, but the Madrid name is such a draw that players will always be interested to go there.

Don't get me wrong, I'm fascinated to see how Real do with this sackful of egos next season, but an interesting post on another site made me laugh, particularly with how accurate, IMHO, it is:

eto'o (or villa??) > benzema (or huntelaar)

henry (or bojan) = higuain (or raul or ruud)

messi > c.ronaldo

xavi = kaka

iniesta >>> robben (or guti)

toure > gago (or diarra)

abidal > albiol

alves > ramos

pique > pepe

puyol > salgado

valdes < casillas

coach guardiola > coach pellegrini

Barca chemistry >>> RM chemistry

I don't suppose any of you have heard it, but there is this song that once said "money can't buy you love".

Let's just wait and see, eh?

  • 1 year later...
Cana was at the wrong team kind of like Masch at West ham. And Cana was good at Sunderland became captain straight away pretty much.

Good, not better than Torres. Not a Torres like impact and no Gignac wouldn't have one either, he'd have more of a Benjani type impact.

Fucking Torres like impact? Sort it out you mug.

Maybe so but apparently United are now after Andre Pierre Gignac. He is 1 of the only 3 players in the French league i rate he is immense and would smash the Prem with almost the same impact as Nando did id put money on it.

Read again you mug.

Read again you mug.

Read it again and you're still chatting shit, only now you're copying my venacular.

Gignac shouldn't even be in the same sentence as Torres and you reckon he'd have a similar impact? You're talking out of your hoop.

Oh and don't you have a petition to make? Maybe the price of fish or something you have equally as much chance of making any impact in whatsoever you deluded muppet.

The petitian is made already and whats your fucking problem? I believe Gignac to be a player of the highest calibour where ever he ends up either somewhere in the prem or Valencia as a replacement for Villa i have every confidence in him he will prove me right. No need to get personal it just an opinion.
