Look and learn chaps. Some common mistakes occuring far too frequently on TLW:

There - As in "The stadium is over there mate"

Their - As in "Their stadium is a shit hole"

They're - An abbreviation of 'they are'. As in "They are shit"

Your - As in "Your team are shit mate"

You're - An abbreviation of 'you are'. As in "You're a wanker"

Are - To describe. As in "They are shit"

Our - As in "Our stadium"

More information on homophones can be found at the BBC Skillswise website.

This week's lesson was brought to you in association with The Liverpool Way Pedants Society. Next week's lesson will focus on apostrophes.

Any spelling, punctuation or grammatical errors in this post are obviously deliberate, so fuck you.

One of the most common mistakes on TLW is when some half-witted plastic intellectual with fascist tendencies and frustrated journalistic aspirations patronises the forum members with noddy shite. Go away.

i HATE people correcting spelling or words used in the wrong context! so what if someone says there instead of their or they're! who gives one, everyone still knows what they're talking about so no need in trying to correct it!

Capital letter when you start a sentence please.

English isn’t my first language either.

Well hello, let me step up and take on the mantle you're talking about.

To describe someone who's a stickler for spelling, punctuation and grammar as having 'facist tendencies' is stupidity of the most staggering kind.

God knows what terms you use for anything really serious.

Post woulda been a whole lot more effective if you hadn't misspelt fascist...
