Vey surprised with the inclusion of Diao ahead of Alonso. I think Traore deserves his position in the side though. Garcia and Riise will be responsible for creating the chances for our strikers, so a lot rests on how they play today.

I cannot believe that Alonso did not start. VV has already made the point, but how is Deportivo a more important game than today? We have to get some points on the board, and especially build up some confidence away from home. A midfield of Diao and Didi was never going to work.

 

Great result though.

 

On another note, well done to Rafa for keeping it positive at 2-2 and a man down. Even at 3-2 we had an aggressive formation which payed off...much better than trying to hold on with 10 minutes to go with only 10 men.

 

P.S. iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiggggggggggggggooooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!
