Featured: Sturridge: "Me and Luis… it's a beautiful thing"

Striker Daniel Sturridge says the understanding and rapport he's struck up with Luis Suarez is 'a beautiful thing' and revealed he even hopes to get his strike partner dancing.

"It's a beautiful thing to have the relationship on the field with him," Sturridge told KICK OFF Magazine. "We have a good understanding, have assisted each other on different occasions and it's a great feeling. We help each other and improve each other and we also get along off the field."

Sturridge's trademark 'wriggly arms' celebration has caught on with some fans, but as yet his team-mates have not got on board with it, with the surprising exception of Jamie Carragher who threw down some shapes with the striker last season in the win at at Fulham. "I think Carra tried it maybe because his son put a lot of pressure on him," said Sturridge.

"I like Carra's son a lot, he's a good kid and I used to have a bit of banter with him when he'd come around here so I think he forced his daddy to do it. I would love the guys to get involved, but so far, only Carra has been brave enough."

Can we expect to see Suarez follow suit? "I don't know if he's got the rhythm for that yet," Sturridge joked. "But what I will say is he is definitely someone I could try to teach. Whether he takes it on board or not, is a different story."

Every bone in my body tells me that dance is wrong. Very, very wrong. It's disrespectful, it's cheesy, it's annoying. However, those bones are wrong. The more frequent we see the Sturridge wiggle, the better off we'll be. For the moment, that's enough.

I'd love to see them both doing the wriggly arms together, but not just after scoring against some random team.  Goodison would be the perfect place to see it.  In fact, I'd like the whole team to join in.

Imagine eleven of them doing the wriggly arms in front of the Gwladys Street.

And then Rodgers running on and doing it too.

A 'harlem shuffle' style vid would be boss.

Now this would be beautiful. As long as it ended with Colin Pascoe doing the worm down the length of the stand.

 You've changed.
