At 5-0 I remembered the game from last season when we took the foot off the gas, and was about to mention in the match thread that hope we don't do that again but stopped in case I jinxed it...so was made up we rammed it down them with more goals!

I was thinking that maybe the reason we kept going at 4 and 5 nil was because we have a free midweek. Also, for the last 13 minutes, 4 of the front 6 were subs and 5 of the front 6 for the last 8 minutes.

On Gakpo, I said to a mate more or less what was said on the pod, he's going to be brilliant.

He's so calm and composed and seems to not lose the ball. He's like Iceman (Darwin can be Maverick!)

Cody is all that I thought Jones would kick onto.

Two of my personal highlights of the first 39 minutes.

He's going easy on Conor Coady in his old age. For shame.

Or maybe this time they actually listened to Robbo.

Very enjoyable, as expected.

Was (as Brownie) a bit miffed that Klopp didn't do the fist-pumps, but I have another theory than the two presented on the pod....

The way he kept spinning with his finger, I interpreted it as if we had a long way to go in the league yet before we were worthy of celebrating with more fist-pumps. I think if it was a cup game he would have done the celebration, but that our results in the league overall didn't warrant that kind of celebration yet. At first I thought he just wanted more noise from the crowd, but he was obviously gesturing for something else.

Anyway, small detail on an otherwise fantastic night!

But

what if Hitler had had bleached blonde hair, how would that affect the rankings?

Oh that's a really good point. Yes I think it might.

Gakpo looked like he has been here for ages. He can do a bit of everything and looks like he can play anywhere on the pitch. The complete opposite of Anthony who you nailed with his style over substance.

Konate back and Fabinho looking sharp no suprise to see Trent better.

@dave u how about Brighton being in contention for fourth?

They have an easier run in, games in hand, but have also dropped points recently.

Between them and Newcastle for 6th I think.

Disappointed Paul never called Jake Humphrey the massive cunt he is.

I’m still trying to control my language on  the pod somewhat.
