Face it, we suck at either picking talented youngsters or developing the talented youngsters that we do have. It's one of the two, and its been going on for years. Suso will probably just end up another in a long line of similar examples.

 

I dread reading about our young players in the academy, because it always gets my hopes up that "in just a couple of years" we'll have a golden generation, and a couple of years later, I'm watching Spearing and Adam lurch around the field, and Downing hiding from the ball.....before that it was Jovanovic and Voronin miskicking everything, and before that Zenden and Josimi etc etc etc.

 

Fuck, I just want to see some decent prospects come through.
