IMO You can take it as gold that Rafa wanted shot of both of them but because he wasn't guranteed to keep the cash to put back in the team he was left with no other option but to stick with them. For now. Would he bring in replacements?

I've got a sneaky suspicion that if he was allowed to keep the cash he'd buy just one player and if anything was left over he'd put it back till summer and give a chance to the youth. He'd have to stash it in his mattress or the carpet baggers will be off on their toes with it!

As for last night. How anyone thought My Little Pony played well is beyond me. He quite clearly shit out of his first 50/50 tackle inside the first 15 mins and I would be interested to see his pass completion ratio.

 

The only person who would have taken anything positive from MLP's performance last night will have been Steven Gerrard as we now have proof we have another play who takes worse corners.
