Some not very well known science facts:

 

At a jet plane's speed of 1,000 km (620mi) per hour, the length of the plane becomes one atom shorter than its original length.

 

Every human spent about half an hour as a single cell.

 

Sound travels 15 times faster through steel than through the air.

 

A ball of glass will bounce higher than a ball of rubber. A ball of solid steel will bounce higher than one made entirely of glass.

According to a 1995 survey, 7 out of 10 British dogs get Christmas gifts from their doting owners.

 

Your statistical chance of being murdered is one in twenty thousand.

And finally, a few weird laws from Wisconsin USA:

 

Whenever two trains meet at an intersection of said tracks, neither shall proceed until the other has.

 

State Law made it illegal to serve apple pie in public restaurants without cheese.

 

The state definition of rape stated that it was a man having sex with a woman he knows not to be his wife.

 

It is illegal to kiss on a train.

 

It is illegal to cut a woman's hair.

 

In Brookfield - Tattooing is illegal unless it is done for medical purposes.

 

In Kenosha - No male is allowed to be in a state of arousal in public.

 

In La Crosse - It is illegal to tie up your horse along Third Street (Now a major bar strip).

 

In La Crosse - You cannot "worry a squirrel.

 

In Racine - Missiles may not be shot at parade participants.

 

In Wauwatosa - If a person shall fail to return books he/she has checked out from the library, that person should return their library card to the library until the books are returned.
