Barcelona admit Owen interest

 

Barcelona's coach, Frank Rijkaard has hinted that he might be interested in signing Michael Owen.

 

Asked about the type of striker he was looking to sign, the Dutch coach confirmed that Barcelona were looking for a player with Owen's attributes.

 

"We need a fast striker who is also technical and knows how to create numerous goal scoring opportunities," he admitted.

 

"Am I referring to Owen? What do you think?"

 

Owen hass long been the subject of transfer speculation and the England man recently admitted that he mmight have to leave Liverpool to realise his dream of playing Champions League football.
