Its illegal to do these days. Remember the great goal that used to be on the start of Match of the Day, possibly Justin Fashanu, some lad flick it up and he volleyed it, that wouldn't be allowed these days.

 

ps just checked, it wasn't Fashanu.

 

Ernie Hunt I think for Coventry and that was a clever free kick. Think it got banned afterwards because they said that the ball didn't actually travel its full circumference or some bollocks as it just went straight up...pity love to see that sort of effort again
