Was alright but a bit long at 2.5 hours. Depp makes a good pirate but he can only carry it so far. Bill Nighy (Davey Jones) is wasted behind a squid face and one rolling ball/wheel scene is enough let alone two. I also notice Keira seemed to get more tanned as the movie went on.

 

Keira is the most beautiful woman on the planet.

 

A truly awful movie is Garfield 2 except for the scene in a pub in London when Garfield's owner takes Jennifer Love-Hewitt for an authentic pub experience and the egg chasers are on the tv and they're all yelling Aussie aussie aussie oy-oy-oy. I was the only one who got it.

It was average. Johnny Depp's performance will always stop it from falling below average. It was also about half an hour too long and had too many plots snaking around one another.

 

The best thing about the original was that it kept the perfrect pitch between light-hearted adventure film and scary ghost story. It was an ideal length and ended well.

 

The plus points for the sequel were Bill Nighy as Davy Jones. A good performance coupled together with excellent CGI. Depp's performance is great fun. That Krakken monster was old school movie monster quality. The opening half hour is pretty humourous too.

 

Go see it if you really enjoyed the first film. If you thought the first was okay, wait until it comes out on DVD.

I quite enjoyed it, myself. Sure, it was too long, but its Cap'n Jack Sparrow! Plus, the ending was fucking ace.

Lucky. Billy Connolly is in it and is awful, but then it's aimed a kids so the obligatory dog bites man in scrote scene is replayed.

 

Click is a waste of time as well.

It was pretty decent. It does what it says on the tin: piratey nonsense, keira, monsters, Depp playing Richards prety well etc.

 

Anything with an undead monkey in it can't be that bad.

 

Apparently Richards turns up in the third one as Sparrow's old man.

Took the kids, they enjoyed it. For once its the adults getting restless asking when is it over. There is a good 110 minute film in there, just a pity it lasts 150mins
