Cardboard Banjo Man,a scouse legend.

It's going back a fair bit now, but I can also remember his alter ego, Wooden Tennis Racket-Banjo Man, who used to play extended sets outside Sayers on Williamson Square. Not seen him for a few years - must have gone on to greater things.

'No smoking Lance Armstrong'.............the fella who rides his bike with loadsa (clear) plassy bags and no smoking signs all over them. He looks like a cross between Bobby Grant and Harold Shipman. I remember working on the dock road over twenty years ago and this 'personality' was riding his bike the length and breadth of north Liverpool. To my suprise I saw him a few months back doing the same thing and my kids were talking about him. The fucker must have done more more miles than Ellen 'Cucumber' MacArthur.....I won't even comment about John Conteh's brother....................

DT i have heard of this so called lady bag woman. The mystery of it all.

And HurdyGurdyMan, thats the bloke im on about. Although last time i saw him, outside the LiverBuildings, he and his bike were both looking knackered.

And he cant even blame it on the bifters.

Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr yes Shanklys Ghost, but would he have been able to pedal these miles If he had been on the bifters?.................I doubt It. I don't even think he's English, one parent told him to fuck off from outside the school (he's harmless and was just passin') and he came out with more mumbo jumbo than Mickey 'One punch' O'Neill off Snatch................It all makes the world go round.

Tony's a legend.

Obviously something not altogether right with him and he stands at the 4-way junction in Old Swan at the traffic lights simply telling people to Beep their car horns at him. He can go for hours.

He'll always try to find out your name if you have stopped at lights and its a surreal experience with the window down listening to tens of cars all Beeping their horns at Tony Beep-Beep simultaneously.

Ive had a bevvy with his arl fella in the Greyhound who despairs of his sons antics and every so often a rumour goes round about his 'meeting' with a bus. Hope to Fowler it's not true.

Tony Beep-Beep aka The Huyton Waver, sir, if your still on this car-park of a planet, i salute you.

Last time I saw Banjo man was outside Edwards down Matthew Street, and that was like 2 years ago. Proper good bloke he was, you'd come out of a bar and he'd be sat on the floor with his carboard guitar and shoelaces as strings, you'd ask him to play "Revolution" or something by the fab four and he would just start singing it while strumming his so called guitar and then he would put sound effects in to the sound of a guitar. At 2 in the morning whilst fueled up on the wife beating Stella he came across as just comedy genius!

F.A.O You Know It, don't drink in the Mere any more mate, usually in the Brombourgh nowadays!
