Heading off there for a short break with the wife soon, any recommendations for activities, restaurants (veggie friendly please), Port tasting etc?

The combined foot and tram bridge out of the city is impressive but scary. Great views.

Fabulous place,only had a few hours there on a Thomson cruise,went in the summer and local kids were jumping off that bridge into the river. Went to few bars along the river,can't remember any specific names,but loads of them,all reasonably priced,great food and drink and extremely friendly locals.enjoy.

Surely they weren't jumping from the pedestrian part of that bridge?

 

The wife has already poo-pood a 10 hour boat and wine tasting cruise which I have the arse about.

Spent a week there in 2012. Nice little tram, excellent and massive G&Ts, great Port, vino verde... was drunk a lot so everything's a little hazy

For anyone going you have to do the Cockburn's Port tasting with chocolate. Marone
