  1. Some Brilliant places / events you all been to, makes me want to travel more again... Few of mine. 1. Twin Towers both before and after, amazing views and great restaurant up there. Going 18 months afterwards and not seeing them on Staton Island ferry was just weird, then going again 2 years ago and seeing the redevelopment and memorial, wow.. 2. Being in Sydney for Millennium celebrations, fireworks both at 9pm and midnight just amazing. Going to the beach on NYD something never done and probably never will again. 3. Sky-diving over Lake Taupo in New Zealand, 12,000Ft up was superb. 4. Hiroshima: Quite a city would advise anyone to visit peace museum really makes you think why/how did they let it happen. 5. Vancouver and Canadian Rockies, went for a wedding in Vancouver and did some sightseeing afterwards which was fantastic. Then got an overnight train to Calgary hired a car and travelled round for about a week, Lake Louise, Banff, Jasper. Recommend anyone to go..
  2. God they are completely utterly mad.... catcherintherye Player Valuation: £70m I have to be honest, from the converstions I have had with reds they fall into 2 categories on this; 1) Heartbroken/angry- wanting to kill Benitez for being a Judas 2) Convinced he is an actual agent sent in to send us down. The latter not in a sort of jokey/banter way either, like we might joke about how FSG love United/the Glaziers for having their statement on the board but deep down you know it's b/s but it's funny ammo. They genuinely believe Benitez is just here to wind us up for laughs for them. The 2nd category are going to get a pretty big shock, when they realise their precious "Rafa" actually really wants the job and is not going to call us a small club in the 1st press conference etc etc. This is not a particularly nuanced fanbase who can sort of look at it and go "well he did great for us, but he's with an opponent now so I am going to dislike him for that but admire what he did for us". They're not Evertonian's who can view things rationally and with a bit of perspective. I highly doubt they will be singing his name in the derby, and I would imagine the relationship will be long soured by then. This appointment is mutually assured destruction all around.
  3. Think they should offer tickets to locals to as someone else stated to keep those from other areas away for now. Already resigned myself to not going till next season anyway, mother out-law is 86 and health not great too much a risk...
  4. So what will happen to Melwood now? Houses., community playing fields etc. Be nice to give to community and not to sell for developments
  5. Athletics - Ed Moses American Football - Marcus Allen Baseball - Orel Hershiser Basketball - Magic Johnson Boxing - Roberto Duran Cricket - Sanil Gavaskar Darts - John Lowe Formula One - Nikki Lauda Golf - John Daly Ice Hockey - Wayne Gretzy Rugby - Jona Lomu Snooker - Jimmy White Tennis - Jimmy Connors
  6. Did it last year, surely could do it again maybe? Would be a best seller....
  7. Wolves away that was the 1 game we played all season where I thought we actually would get beat ( I know we lost to Watford but that was a complete surprise) That was such a hard game but we did it and at end could tell players had played hardest game of year and still won.... That and Leicester away
  8. Liverpool FC would like to update season ticket holders while the remaining Premier League fixtures for this season remain suspended indefinitely. Until there is clarity around the fixture schedule, we have suspended the upcoming season ticket renewal process. We will continue to monitor the situation, and a new period of renewal will be put in place once there is confirmation of the start date of the 2020-21 season. Season ticket holders will be contacted directly to advise them of the new deadline and provide as much notice as possible. Prices for general admission season tickets will be frozen for the 2020-21 season, and we will be in touch with supporters once these go on sale. We fully support the collective intent of Premier League clubs to complete all fixtures in the 2019-20 season. Should all remaining fixtures go ahead as normal, all season tickets and match-by-match tickets will remain valid for the rearranged date. In the event that the remaining 2019-20 home games cannot be played in front of supporters, we will provide either a refund for the equivalent value of the remaining home games to all season ticket holders and hospitality members, or the pro-rata value of the individual affected home matches as credit against their 2020-21 season ticket. This rebate or refund will also be applicable to all official Members, general admission supporters and matchday hospitality ticket holders who have purchased for the affected games in the 2019-20 season. These supporters will be contacted individually via email to provide further information on the refund process. As the situation continues to evolve, we will continue to keep supporters updated with any developments relating to the current season and the 2020-21 season. We would like to thank our supporters for their understanding and patience during this challenging time. Our thoughts are with you all at this time and we hope all our supporters are staying safe and at home.
  9. Thanks Dave, ordered. Going on holiday 1st August will it maybe be ready before that?
  10. So out of are first 7 games 6 changed for TV at various times Friday/Saturday/Sunday. Only Southampton away still at 3pm on Saturday. Would have been nice to have a 3pm KO at Anfield August/September guess success means we are featured more but do miss the Saturday afternoon games....
  11. BBC going to show super bowl and all 3 London games live this year. Plus a highlights show, about time..
  12. Be sad to see him go, but I think Emre can do that job better
  13. Visited Japan this year and spend a few days in Hiroshima. Went to the peace museum and piece park, museum was graphic in its story telling of the consequences of the bomb the dead, injured (both then and in future years) and life afterwards. The devastation caused was horrific kids just burnt to a crisp other photos showing charred bodies both alive and dead. I had told my 10 year old about what happened before we went so he had an idea of what he was about to see, young people have such different perspectives on this, he wrote in comments book at end 'so why did you bomb pearl harbour'.. As part of trip also spoke to some survivors who told shocking stories about that day and the horrors, but none blamed USA for it. Even seeing what I saw there I still think it was the right thing to do, I have seen nothing that would convince me the Japanese would have surrendered quickly, the loss of life on both sides from an Invasion would be too costly
  14. Took son when 6 to pre-season friendly Bayer Leverkuesen I think, my daughter when 6 plus him to Dortmund last season, best to start them off on friendlies and see how they get on. It worked as went To Leicester NYD 2-2 game we were right behind goal were Gerrard got both penalties so they liked that even if final score not exactly happy one. Are there no home pre season friendlies this year?
  15. Martin Scorsese - raging Bull Jack Nicholson - one flew over cuckoo nest Richard Attenborough - Gandhi

  18. Was surprised Rodgers played Gerrard 700th game against Bolton mid-week, should have been saved for this one. But with tomorrow's game and Spurs Tuesday coming up cannot see him starting although hope I am so wrong..
