Router Password?

Gents

We've just bought a Netgear router to connect the PC and laptop to the tinterweb. I have done this ok (surprisingly). The problem is, I was wondering how I would stop neighbours etc connecting through my router. I would have thought there would be a password of some sort we would have to use when trying to log on, but as far as I can see there isn't. With security in mind, I am worried (my iPod is connecting via my connection, so others must be able to).

Any ideas? Any advice would be welcome...especially that given in SIMPLE English as I haven't got a clue (as you may have gathered...)

ok, here you go, has pictures and everything:

Answer.

Look under Configuring WPA-PSK Encryption:

Then after this, you will need to setup your computers and phones etc. to connect to your access point, i.e. the netgear router, via wpa. If you want you can continue on the page and setup access control lists. But that isn't a big necessity. Most important is setting up the WPA encryption and connecting using that.

Right......believe it or not, I had actually done/fluked it prior to me starting this thread, but didn't know as I couldn't test it properly due to the laptop's battery being flat. Had done it with my iPod and have done it this evening with the laptop.

Thanks for your help anyway, DJLJ.
