2. Am sure the link won't work, but will give it a go. Starts a 1.20. YouTube - VH1 Rock Honors: The Who - Pearl Jam performance
3. Did he score? Don't think he did... AEK Athens 2 - BATE Borisov 2
4. The sad thing is, many will hope he's shite.
5. Not getting a job in the UK Border Agency isn't the worst thing, mate. Apparently, people they're taking on externally are only on short-term contracts, and many of the people working there at the mo are on loan from the passport office. Once all the old 'legacy' work is out of the way, it's up in the air whether people will still have jobs. Good luck.
6. Gents We have a Toshiba laptop, with the touchpad (mouse) thingy. Every time you hover over a link, it clicks the link automatically, which is a pain in the arse. Any ideas on how we can sort this so we can only select links when we actually click on it? Thanks
7. Done! I have tried to download it recently, but had problems. The version I got from isoHunt is spot on! If I knew how to rep you, I would... Cheers
8. Am looking, in particular, for a cheap place to buy Photoshop Elements 7 for PC. Thanks in advance.
9. All sorted. Thanks for your help, chaps.
10. Sorry for lateness of reply... I have taken a note of what it says on the RAM currently in my PC and the one I bought to add. PC: 1GB UNB PC2-4300 CL4 S/N: 230644112113 P/N: 78.01G66.9KB New: 1GB PC2-5300 DDR2-667 CL=5-5-5-15 GX21GB5300LX VOLTAGE: 1.8V Right, even a man of my limited PC skills can see these are not a match - even though I only bought the new PC2-5300 after crucial.com told me that this is what was already installed on my PC. I have done a quick Google search to see if you can mix these and saw this answer when someone had posed the question: "1. If your motherboard is ONLY capable of using PC2-4300, it will just downclock any PC2-5300 that you put in there. 2. If you mix the two, BIOS will just synchronize their speed to that of the lowest which is the PC2-4300; even if board is compatible w/ PC2-5300." I don't understand what it means, but, having tried the new stick again, my PC/motherboard clearly is not liking the 5300. Should simply purchasing and installing a stick of PC2-4300 be enough? Cheers gents.
11. Tried mixing and on its own. Get same problem, unless I take the new one out. Not sure if this is anything - you may have guessed I know nothing about computers... - but when I went into the BIOS (F2 key?) it seems to have it 'recorded' in there (I have 1 gig normally, trying to upgrade to 2) but just doesn't work?
12. Right...I have taken the giant step of trying to install some extra RAM into my PC. I got my type of RAM from Crucial.com, as well as how much my Motherboard will accept etc, and went and purchased it today, along with an anti-static band. Things went well...or so I thought. My PC fails to recognise the new RAM and has stopped working while the new RAM is inserted. Thankfully, it still works ok when I take the new one out. Any ideas what I can do to make my PC recognise and accept the RAM?
13. While it is probably utter shite, MAYBE his signing-on fee has been added to his wage rather than being paid in one go which will make his pay look higher than it actually is?
14. Right......believe it or not, I had actually done/fluked it prior to me starting this thread, but didn't know as I couldn't test it properly due to the laptop's battery being flat. Had done it with my iPod and have done it this evening with the laptop. Thanks for your help anyway, DJLJ.
15. Cheers, mate. I will give it a go after work tomorrow and let you know how I get on. Thanks DJLJ
16. Gents We've just bought a Netgear router to connect the PC and laptop to the tinterweb. I have done this ok (surprisingly). The problem is, I was wondering how I would stop neighbours etc connecting through my router. I would have thought there would be a password of some sort we would have to use when trying to log on, but as far as I can see there isn't. With security in mind, I am worried (my iPod is connecting via my connection, so others must be able to). Any ideas? Any advice would be welcome...especially that given in SIMPLE English as I haven't got a clue (as you may have gathered...)
17. Happened to me too. Can't have a nose in work anymore without logging in, which I don't want to risk... Has happened at home as well.
18. Right...my sister has forgotten the password to log on to her Zoomstorm PC. Does anyone know how to either (a) find what the password was, or (b) know how to restore the PC to its factory settings. The operating system is Vista, she doesn't have any restore discs and she's not bothered about losing anything on the PC as there's not much on there! Thanks.
19. Of course Liverpool fans have among their number some of the biggest vermin going. Munich chants, racism etc were the norm - and many will argue that they've never gone away, just decreased.
20. And sing about Mark Lawrenson being a homosexual.
