If you're a Band of Horses junkie and can't get enough you might like to check out Carissa's Wierd. They were pre-Band of Horses but had some of the same band members, I believe.

 

Mat Brooke and Jenn Ghetto have recently bought the rights to Carissa's Wierd's back catalogue and might be re-releasing their LPs, according to Wiki.

 

They spelt "Wierd" that way on purpose.

Really like this band. Haven't listened to their new album, though, but I liked their first two. Still think I'm gonna choose for Blink 182 at Pukkelpop, just for the nostalgia.

After seeing their name knocked around on this site for a while now I decided to pick up 'Everything all of the time' yesterday as it was on sale in HMV.

 

On first listen, very very impressed. Will be playing this a lot over the next few days.

 

Before yesterday I'd never got round to checking them out. Might even pick up another of their other two albums this week.

 

Got to say though, awful band name.
