Over the last 15 years we have seen Liverpool fans claim players like D.Kuyt, P.Crouch, Lucas Leiva, Simon Mignolet, E.Insua were good to great players.

Ofcourse we have some stupid clowns following us, who dont appreciate the genius of Thiago.

All subjective, but you left Pepe Reina out of that first list - a truly woeful goalkeeper by the time he left us, and in truth, never quite as good as he was made out to be.

On Thiago, there’s probably a large constituency on here that recognise how good he is but realise that him only being available for 25 matches a season is just another of our problems at the moment.

Totally ruined my weekend this did. Feeling slightly better about it now. Lots of players to come back for Wednesday and we’ve generally looked good in the CL since Naples. I think Konate will make a massive difference.
But the seasons a write off. Are we supposed to give a shit about finishing 4th?

Swerve the league games, but there’s still all to play for in the CL and two cups.

Thiago doesn’t get the plaudits as he doesn’t get loads of assists or goals. But, he brings something to our midfield that was missing yesterday. A bit of bravery with the ball. Not constantly playing the safe pass and handling off the burden to create to someone else in the team. A willingness to try and find someone in a promising position although it might not be the easiest pass.

We need a bit of variety in the midfield. We’ve got a creative player when Thiago plays. We used to have the ball winning defensive midfielder in Fabinho, although his form has dropped alarmingly. We do miss a Wijnaldum type though. A presser in advanced midfield positions. And, just watched Spurs and the Geordies then, and on occasions you could see the likes of Willock, Guimares and Bentancur getting the ball in midfield and going on a run with it, surging past their opponents and driving their team further up the pitch. We really do miss a midfielder like that. That’s probably why we want Bellingham.

On another note, we’re absolutely turd and we’re still only 12 points off the top of the table.

I don't think anyone has the energy to even do that these days.

The club as a whole looks mentally & physically fatigued.  At the start of the season Klopp has been quite fiery with comments in interviews and with the recent comments about state owned clubs (100% correct btw) I think it’s grinding him down to some degree.  He and his team over the last 4-5 seasons have given it their absolute best and put up some incredible numbers that in any normal times would have seen at least a couple more big titles but sadly we are fighting with one hand behind our backs against teams that hold cheat codes.  If he's not given reassured financial backing to rejuvenate the team I think he'll go on sabitcal at the end of the season.

The season isn’t a right off yet. Although we’re very unlikely to win the league now, we can still get top 4 and progress deep in the CL.

We absolutely need to give ourselves a boost with a signing or two in January.

Having less wretched luck with injuries would help as well.

And Code continues to support Karius too.
