how can you get behind a team that is clearly going through the motions & has no desire to win ! This team reminds me of the one that Roy Evans left behind . No passion no commitment for LFC !!!!!

For the avoidance of doubt I usually post under Andrew Gray, but with forgotten passwords and difficult email access and all that..... Anyway, to my point. No matter how strong an empire, they have always collapsed. I am sure the same will be said in the future about the American stronghold at the moment, but the Soviet, Roman, Greek, Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese empires (amongst others) have all come and gone. In the Footballing world, there have been periods of domination by Wolves, Newcastle, Bolton, Preston, Spurs, Arsenal, United and of course the greatest of them all, Liverpool. Unlike in the political world (to date), there have been a number of occa…

Excellent piece - but why should the board give money when he had loads to spend and spent poorly whilst selling Thommo, Wright and not signing Anelka? Hmmm - Anelka, Thommo and Wright or Xavier, Diouf and Biscan...... There has been so much that is frankly indefensible this season!

Basically Dave sets up this Forum and some of the stuff posted lately has gone beyond a joke. Loads of sick bitters - surely there must be a way of quickly deleting posts from obvious bitter blues or wind-up merchants? Mr Administrator? It is fine for other clubs fans to make considered replies, but some of the stuff lately should not be allowed to be on here. Comments with regard to dead Italians and paedophiles - yeah, really amusing guys. Jeez. Hiding behing a screen using anonymous names - sad people!

Owen to leave rumour?

Has any one else heard it? Just got an e-mail from a big red from Denmark. He gave me a link to an italian website. On it, it says Inter are ready to break the bank to take Owen over there. It states that preliminary talks are in progress with both Liverpool and Owens agent and nobody has ruled the deal out. It also says Liverpool might use the cash to bring in Del Piero as a replacement. It says Owen is dissapointed by Liverpools league form and form in Europe, and is desperate to play at the highest level so now is time when he might be tempted to move on. Has anyone else heard or read about this, or confirm if there is any truth in it. As the old saying goes, theres n…

Mate, That was one of the better posts on here and may I dare add on the whole internet for some time. Honestly I loved reading it. Talks to your brother on MSN every now and then, like his articles a lot but this takes some beating mate. All the best and keep them coming.

Mentioning "39 dead Italians" in your post was in extremely poor taste and you ought to be ashamed of yourself. You should have paid attention when your parents were teaching you good manners and tact.

Am I the only person who thought Martin Tyler was wearing an Arsenal tie on sly this afternoon? It looked very similar to one if it wasnt?

dont really know what the state of play is with partridge concerning him coming back early, i dont even know if he is good enough for premiership, but one thing i do know is it worth giving the lad a run outwide he cant do no worse than the players playing wide at the moment.he could give the place a lift and also help us to change our style of play as i am afraid we have been sussed, i would not be adverse to giving the lad mellor a go , again i dont know if he will make the grade but we wont know till we try him he is a goalscorer and we have only got one at the moment and he is short on confidence, baros maybe? but heskey and diuoff are not natural goalgetters.

Response to Johnny Red

I am actually disgusted with comments made to a comment by a Paul Geffin by a certain Johnny Red. I am a big fan of the reds, and am from Liverpool. What happened in Heysel may have been a disgrace and something we do not celebrate, but at the same time, Liverpool fans are still responsible for the death of 39 Juventus fans. The fact that that he has the cheek to actually say that it is untactful for us to mention the death of these fans disgraces me. I was at Heysel for this match, and what i saw was so called Liverpool fans rampaging in the ground and making a mock of what the club stands for. Additionally, people say it was fans/hooligans from alot of clubs in Engl…

Spot on about the hypocrisy. The Daily Mail had THREE pages demanding Gerrard gets a long ban, would they be making such requests if it affected England? Litmanen, in my opinion, never got the run because I personally thought although supremely talented he was too lightweight for the Premiership. An Evertonian told me just before we signed him that was his concern. Fantastic footballer, but injuries had taken their toll and he had doubts about his ability to master the physical nature of the Premiership.

Fully agree and I may expected to be be the last one expected to say that. Its one thing writing tongue in cheek articles about them but this was a calculated act of vandalism. It cant even have been said to have been instinctive, such as if someone had draped a red scarf round it. Whoevers done it has tok the trouble to go to B and Q to buy the red paint, or has very bad decorating tastes in their house. Its a good job the shankly statue is behind locked gates, but the Pasiley gateway or Hillsborough memorial could be a target.
