  1. Love that piece of wall in the museum!! Um, who the fuck does sign-writing in Liverpool? Talk about open to abuse! HAHA  The part in the bottom right corner especially!
  2. Fabio Capello's England assistant Franco Baldini said yesterday he had been threatened as he prepared to give evidence in a Rome trial linked to Italy's Calciopoli scandal. Baldini was in court to give evidence against defendants including Luciano Moggi, the former Juventus executive whose manipulation of referees was exposed in 2006, prompting the ejection of the Turin club from Serie A. "I was threatened by Luciano Moggi this morning before entering the court," Baldini told the judge. "He said, 'Good morning, you piece of shit', and then, with his finger pointed a few centimetres from my nose, added, 'Look, this way things will finish badly for you'."
  3. ALright folks, I'm currently on a 2 for £20 deal with Virgin where I get my phone and broadband (Size M, was a 1Mb connection, but got upped to 2Mb last year) for £20. I'm running my PC through a modem which is connected to a wireless router, from which my housemate and gf connect their respective PCs. However, whenever my housemate is playing one of his MMOs or downloading something (i.e. the send/receive lights are going like the 100m on Daley Thompson's Decathlon) I can't get on the net myself, or if I can it takes me an age. A man needs his fix of Guatemalan Clown Filth, you understand! Are there any programs you can install that split the bandwidth between each PC, or is it simply a case of first come, first served, get the lions (and tigers and leopards) share of the bandwidth?
  4. Come on people, it’s playtime. Post a picc of a girl together with her name. Next poster says if they think your choice is Hot or Not, then posts their own picc. Nelly Furtado…….hot or not?
  5. ..which fictional detective would you want to solve the case?
  6. What a shit day. A 3 hour drive down there, I sit in the rain for 2 hours waiting for some play and decide that the game will be called off. I set off home and arrive back 3 hours later. I walk through the door and turn on sky... the fuckers say the game is about to start. £60 for my ticket too! The game starts, the players go off just after the point where I would get a full refund. They come back on 30mins or so before the game would be cancelled and I`d get a 50% refund. Anyway, not too bothered at that point but the game gets played right up until the point where it is 6 balls from a result and the umpires call it off for a no result. Shocking stuff for the people that stayed there in the rain.

  10. How come I'd never heard of him before City were trying to sign him for gazillions? Whats with the tiny name? What next, "Liverpool are interested in signing . from Brazil"?
  11. Money no object, Chelsea tell Luiz Felipe Scolari Matt Hughes Luiz Felipe Scolari has been presented with a list of targets by Chelsea that features Fernando Torres, Robinho and Franck Ribéry. The Brazilian, who will take over as manager next month, will be given an unlimited transfer budget by Roman Abramovich, the club's owner, and has proposed signing Kaká and Deco. Chelsea, with a well-drilled defence and outstanding central midfield players such as Michael Ballack, Frank Lampard and Michael Essien, will focus on recruiting wide players and strikers this summer, a policy that fits with Abramovich's desire for more attacking football. Many of the club's targets may prove beyond their reach as they play for rivals with no need to sell, but Abramovich is confident that the sheer weight of money will convince some of them to cash in. Torres is a case in point, with Liverpool adamant that they will not sell a striker who scored 33 goals in his first season with the club, but Chelsea hope to exploit divisions between the club's warring owners, George Gillett Jr and Tom Hicks. Chelsea have been told that one of the Americans is willing to let Torres go for the right price and are planning to test Liverpool's resolve with a bid. Kaká falls into the same category because AC Milan have stated that the Brazil forward is not for sale at any price, but Chelsea are hoping to use Didier Drogba and Andriy Shevchenko as pawns to push the transfer through. Chelsea have rejected bids from Milan for both strikers and they hope that Scolari's relationship with a player he took to his first World Cup finals at the age of 20, in 2002, will convince him to leave the San Siro. Related Links Trusted ally to play key role for Scolari No love lost between Scolari and Ferguson Scolari picture blends in with owner's dream Multimedia Debate: Will Scolari succeed at Chelsea? Bayern Munich are similarly reluctant to sell Ribéry, but Robinho and Deco should be far easier to acquire from Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively. Scolari has wasted no time in assembling his backroom staff and is planning to bring two of his Portugal colleagues, Flávio Teixeira and Darlan Schneider, to Stamford Bridge. Teixeira has worked as Scolari's assistant since the Brazilian took his first job, at Centro Sportivo Alagoano, in 1982 and is regarded as his eyes and ears, while Schneider, the nephew of Scolari's wife, Olga, was recruited as a fitness coach when he took the job as Portugal coach in 2003. Scolari has gone out of his way to praise his squad's sharpness at Euro 2008, which he attributes to Schneider. Chelsea hope that Steve Clarke will remain at the club as a second assistant, in a similar set-up to that under José Mourinho, while they also want to retain Christophe Lollichon as goalkeeping coach. Scolari's appointment has been welcomed by Chelsea's players, but not by Sir Alex Ferguson. The Manchester United manager has privately expressed anger that the Brazilian has been advising Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portugal forward, to leave Old Trafford for Real.
  12. Just reading all this shite about Torres to Chelsea and it is obvious if they could offer anything 200 million if they wanted. This reminded me of a conversation with a mate who argues that the yanks are good for the club and have enabled us to sign top players. Now I know my mate would change his stance dramatically if we were to sell Torres. So simple question. If the yanks were to cash in on Torres which lead to mass protests and us finally getting rid would you do the unthinkable?
  13. Would you field your reserves and purposely lose against Romania Its a no brainer for me to take out two potential winners of this competition especially teams who know how not to concede when it gets to a knock out stage Anyone got a problem with Van Basten and Holland not turning up for the next game
  14. The big day is here and probably the most exciting group so far, unless you're Turkish and Czech. Rumours about trouble in the French squad while the Italians have had a nice few days of training from what I've read. I believe the Italians will win this game 2-1 and then it's up to Holland. Holland, the big questionmark tonight. I for one think that the Dutch squad is well beyond Romania and will win only by a smaller margin than in the first two games. 2-1 here too maybe. I'm looking forward to see Affelay and Huntelaar. Anyway, bring it on!

  20. The Premier League has been branded a 'disgrace' for refusing to favour Manchester United when compiling the 2008/09 fixture list. The Premier League champions will have to play an away fixture on all six of the weekends that follow group matches in next season's Champions League, prompting MUTV pundit Paddy Crerand to denounce the governing body as "not giving a s**t about Manchester United". Described, somewhat generously, as a 'respected media pundit' by the newspaper, Crerand fumed to The Sun: "Every other country seems to do everything to help their teams in Europe when it comes to domestic fixtures. ''But not here - and it is a disgrace. United are representing this country abroad in the biggest club tournament in the world, yet the fixture list works against them." A League spokesman responded last night by asserting: "We have 20 members and have to be fair to all of them. We can't treat the Champions League teams differently or the teams in the UEFA Cup. Everyone has equal standing."
