  1. Aaaaggh!!! If there's one thing that annoys me it's that - decisions never level out over a season. That's just a defence for corrupt/inept refereeing..... I thought we should have had a free kick when they got the corner they scored from.
  2. England have been right royally shafted in this game!! First Cook is given out off a no- ball, then Smith on 15 gets an edge, but is given not out, referred and the umpire can't here the knick. Smith then blatantly lied saying he didn't hit it. Goes on to make 115....Bollocks, Ridiculous!! De Villiers should have been out several times, yet unbelievably isn't given out. Finally Strauss is given out to a no-ball off Parnell. What a bunch of cheats & liars the Saffers are
  3. But how long do you give him to turn it around? Have they made any progress since the start of the season? Goals are still being conceded from set pieces. Nothing seems to be getting better. While patience is a virtue, particularly at Liverpool - something needs to happen, and pretty soon. While nobody likes getting beat, if you could see a pattern developing and players/performances were getting better - then I suppose I could just about swallow it. However, none of that is happening, the stuff we're playing is absolute dross.
  4. SCG, actually.... Anyway, what do you expect listening to Talksport?? They're nearly all anti-Liverpool, just like the majority of the press.......so boring and predictable.
  5. I feel a bit like that, I can't turn my back on it completely. But, I know it's a cliche, it's not the game I grew up with, and it's not just that we dominated then. Can you imagine Forest, Derby, Ipswich, Soton, WBA, QPR, etc challenging for the League Title/European honours? How the hell is that progress? The SKY/Premiership years have killed the sporting side of the game, however, it's now cash rich and that means it's good. But it isn't. Sorry, Rant over!!
  6. I think the Holland 1978 kit is their best ever, haven't been keen on the Nike versions.
  7. Remember his first game at Anfield - as a sub for Czech Rep vs Italy in Euro96, when they won 2-1. What a left foot...quality player who was undervalued in my opinion.
  8. The Saffers got what they deserved - nothing!! The looks on the sour faced Steyn and Smith was priceless. Made up, well done to Colly and Bell for doing the hard yards. Has Bell turned a corner??
  9. Full backs need pace, for going forward and for defending. Insua doesn't seem to have this, though positional sense can make up for that, he hasn't got that either. It was slightly worrying the way the Reading winger went past him.
  10. Please Wolves, get relegated, you bring nothing to the PremierWeague.
  11. Forever ruined by GM, as usual with cars, Americans are normally clueless. From making unusual cars, just became mainly bland GM mobiles, not a lot different to Astras, etc
  12. How long can this carry on? As far as I'm concerned, no longer. Something must be done. Problem is, what? If you get beat, but you can see a method and promise, then it's okay. However, they're serving up utter garbage, and that is being kind....
  13. I'm sorry, but that is a complete joke. What's he done THIS YEAR to merit the award? Also, when is Rossi going to win the Oversea Award, that's a carve up as well.
  14. This may seem a stupid question, but what happened in the summer? To finish the season playing the best football, finishing 2nd, (should really have been 1st), everying seemingly in place for the assault on the Title. Okay, so Alonso going wasn't going to help, but, surely it shouldn't have effected them like this. Should all the off field antics have effected them this much? 8 of todays starting 11 started at OT last season, and won 4-1. So what's going on?
  15. Exactly, there's bound to be a penalty/ injury time winner. It's so inevitable, i'm not watching it.
  16. Why does nobody ever mention Valentino Rossi? He has more charisma in his little finger than nearly everybody else put together. And he's a winner, the bloke is a genius on a Motorcycle, he's also fairly handy in a car as well.
  17. Quite agree, won't go anywere near Mathew Street, Concert Square - in fact ususally go for the afternoon - 9 o'clock. All those pubs you've mentioned are excellent, most are CAMRA pubs selling decent ale, and you don't get that 'atmosphere' ,oh and there's also Peter Kavanaghs, The Railway, The Lion, etc Must admit, I do like the food in The Blackburne as well.
  18. A good game, and Saints were a little unlucky, however I thought Sean Long's kicking on the 6th tackle was mainly bloody awful. Just didn't give enough time to his players to put enough pressure on the Leeds defence. However, Leed' 2nd half tries were streaky/lucky - don't know what Meli was doing for the 2nd of the 3 tries, in fact don't think he had a good game. Saying that, the ref didn't either. One final point, I was sitting next to a Castleford fan, and he said that all the Yorkshire teams will support a Yorkshire team in the Final, no matter who it is. Whereas, that wasn't the case with St Helens and the Lancashire/Merseyside/Gr Manchester/Lancashire teams.
  19. Sorry, don't believe a word of his excuse - a bee sting? C'mon, I'm not having that. Juventus have history, and mainly got away with it. Football nearly always does, if he'd been a cyclist he'd be guilty as charged, and get a ban. Remember Operacion Puerto in Spain, it wasn't just cyclists who were involved - tennis and football were also allegedly involved, but never named.
  20. Got to be one of the most over rated bands around. Just because they're all nice boys and went to public school - and the press love them. Oasis would've blown them off stage, so would Muse!
  21. Wasn't he have supposed to have said he'd have turned down Bob Dylan and Radiohead? He hasn't got a clue about 'proper' music - how many 'proper' acts has he unearthed?
