Me and the missus had it just before christmas and its fucking brutal!! Even though all the shitting/puking has stopped you are still contagious for up to 48 hours so its probably wise that you keep a low profile for a while. Good news is that you are now immune from it for 14 weeks

I have a macbook pro and love it If you want to get a mac for cheaper (they do tend to be a tad expensive) try the refurb store from the Apple Store. I bought my previous laptop from there and they're good value for money. The only down side of macs is that the majority of freeware/shareware is written for PCs, however you can get vmware for the intel macs and have a virtual Windows session run which solves all those problems. I love mine and once you've got used to the OS differences I am confident you'll love it too

The Breeders are class and well worth a listen, Pod (Recorded with Tanya Donnelly) and Last Splash as mentioned by Hamstrung are my favourites. I have to admit I haven't listened to the new one (Mountain Battles) so can't comment
