The Charlton press conference was a waste of time wasn't it? They don't want Curbishley to go but they've no idea if he will or not. Well worth calling a press conference for...

Is that all it was LOL....... does this mean he's in talks

I dont think King Kenny should be next manager, like others I believe that he has been out of the game for too long, what I do think is that we should have him in as a PR man or club president as a link between the fans and the board, you know that would put a little bit of a buzz around the place and lift some of the gloom.

I don't think he should be technical director either, that post/title is bollocks and is not needed.

We may have the oppourtunity to attrack some of the top managers from Europe and if we fail in attracting them then O'Neill or Curbishley should be given the chance. I would like the next manager to be English but at the mo it looks like the other candidates have the headstart with proven success.

It would be similar to arsenal appointing george graham, which sounds mental dosen't it?

George Graham eh? Now there's a manager with "trophy winning experience" who's idle at the moment :-)

Would be slightly worried about how much he would skim off any potential investors, though...

On the Kenny situation, it rarely works when you go back, so i would like to keep my all time hero's reputation intact, thanks very much.

My choices:

Capello

Benitez

Mourinho

Hitzfield

Don't want Curbs, O'Niell. We need proven Euro eexperience to make a serious impact on the CL next year.

I think bringing in Kenny would be a terrible move. You should never go back. I think too many people are still living in the past. Imagine if Kenny comes back and fails?

In a way I think we should go for a completely fresh approach.

My money is still on Toshack though. He's not carrying on at Murcia next season. A few months ago on goals on sunday he was hinting how much he would love the Liverpool job. And if the rumours are true, he was offered the job in 1998 but he didn't want to work with anyone else....
