Sammya - I do criticise Houllier a lot, but the French issue is one that I think is irrelevant to the current LFC situation hence my part defence of him. Rashid will be slagging him off for only getting Nioux Le Mines from the 5th to 2nd dvision instead of all the way to the top flight next!

I notice this pro-GH argument crops up a lot, dipping into the negative aspects of great managers eg the shite Ferguson talks, the rubbish players Wenger has bought, Shankly's worst league positions etc etc.

 

Sad to say, I could name another 200 managers who can claim the same and can quote Gerard's idiot quotes, poor players and poor league positions. What you can't do is give him/them the good stuff: 8 titles in 11 years for Fergie, 6 consecutive top-2 finishes for Wenger and a 4-year rise from Div 2 obscurity to title winners for Shanks. Gerard cannot claim any of that, nor will he (and part of your abuse stems from the fact that, deep down, you know it too)

 

And as for the "loads more", do you really want a list? Shall we start from Ferri, Kippe, Song and Camara then work our way towards 2000? :whistle:
