  1. What's your username - I'll check and reinstate you.
  2. I'm one Xpert point rating short of being able to take up that final CL place - been hovering between 114 and 116 - as soon as I hit 115 I'll apply if no-one has beaten me to it.
  3. Maybe they should report more? Or you should stop shitting over the edge of cliffs ;) He's been very reliable over the last couple of years - doesn't sensationalise news and often just passes info onto mods so we can disseminate without it being attached to his name. One of the very, very few posters across all the sites that has passed the bullshit detector and I'd say is worth checking out. The caveat, as it is with the mightily reliable Dave U, Elisha on ynwa, Johnny Mac on raotl etc is sometimes things turn out differently to what you've been told. The football business isn't an exact science and the value of your rumourinformation can rise as well as fall.
  4. 4 games unbeaten in the league for Massive Attack. Surprise use of the tactically suspect 4-2-4 yielded a 1-0 away win over Revolution Soccer in possibly the most boring game in the history of the TLW Ultra League: Revolution Soccer - Massive Attack 0 (0 - 1) 1 Round 7 in TLW Premiership The Coca-Cola Superdome 2007-12-03 12:00 Referee: Inge Frisk (S2, H7) Match sponsor Soundic Radio 3 Shawn Moran was booked 4 0 - 1 Shot after a corner: Goal scorer was Art Conway assisted by Noel Tinkler 81 Cody Rodgerson was booked Possession: 52 - 48 (58-42) Chances: 4 - 3 (4-1)
  5. I've offered to resign as manager of Massive Attack. Shocker. The only thing I can cling to is I was 3-1 down after the first leg of the last round of the cup and won 4-0 in the second leg at home.
  6. ali, read what you've posted again and try to keep a straight face this time.
  7. Happy with my first points in the top division - a 2-2 draw away to uber-winners the Inglorious Bastards. Be nice to play a home match though.
  8. As expected a first day loss and another tricky away game up next. Think it's a struggle for Massive Attack to stay up this season. btw if anyone hasn;t used up their allocation and is looking for another league RAWK has four spots available at the moment awaiting the start of the new season: LeagueID: 70737 http://www.xperteleven.com/xpertleague.aspx?Lid=70737 3 divisions of 10, two games a week, no cup.
  9. I start the league with two away games thanks to the wonders of the fixture list so I'm hoping to pick up some semblance of form away to the mighty Hairband. Your impressive defence should be a good test for my young strikers.
  10. Cunted Cuntegg 3-0, but worried about the new season. Top division looks too strong for Massive Attack. May have to concentrate on a morale-boosting run in the Cup.
  11. I had all 20 players with + form and nine gain extra bars which was a nice bonus going into the new season in the top league. I think what some people forget is the bar is merely a rounded up or down representation of the player's skill level. e.g. a player with 5.51 skill and a player with 6.49 skill are both "6 bar midfielders" in the game so a player can gain on skill level quite considerably without gaining a bar.
  12. Two years after he took the job Parry was also in negotiations with the council to build a new ground and had effectively secured Stanley Park - can't always trust what he says to supporters ... the plans for a 70,000 seater were released almost two years to the day of him joining the club. The same website which launched when the internet was still just wetting its feet has been the most popular club site in world football for the last few years. Club TV Channels have lost a load of money in the past, particularly MUTV. The financial set up behind LFC TV and Arsenal TV (launches December) according to industry experts is meant to be more favourable than the deals Sky has with the Mancs and Chelsea. You pays your money and takes your Rick.
  13. Yep second promotion on the trot. Think it helped that I just missed promotion by finishing third for two seasons in a row so was in generally good form and it helped on the season updates. Not sure why the team has won so many this season as the squad isn't better than Wollerts, The Ments, Utonium etc. Think I'll get twatted next season though.
  14. He's been sacked by Spain. They used some sort of excuse like receiving a straight red last Saturday would preclude him from playing in the next couple of games so said they didn't need him.
  15. Just a gentle tickling with the big toe in the end. Your ultra-defensive tactics worked for most of the game: Massive Attack - Utonium CF 3 (0 - 1) 1 Round 15 in Division 1 The MeijerDome 2007-09-13 12:00 Referee: Michael Steen (S7, H2) 32 0 - 1 Breakaway: Goal scorer was Vitali Dzamikhov assisted by Sean Manwaring 68 Bobby Gayle was booked 74 1 - 1 Shot in the penalty area: Goal scorer was James Bevan assisted by Mark Bagshaw 76 2 - 1 Shot after a corner: Goal scorer was Andrew O´Callaghan assisted by Michal Barnorik 86 3 - 1 Shot in the penalty area: Goal scorer was Andrew O´Callaghan assisted by Mark Bagshaw Possession: 53 - 47 (59-41) Chances: 8 - 4 (2-2) Home - Man Of The Match - Away Ross Southall Vitali Dzamikhov Anyway that's the league won with a couple of games to spare - Premiership here we come.
  16. I did. Thread's been closed for a number of hours.
  17. It's a private issue really and has sod all to do with anyone who isn't a member of Chris Bascombe's family or one of his mates. Will be sad to see him gone from the Echo as he was a very good writer doing a very difficult job.
  18. At the time I didn't know you had this thread running - good work, particularly liked the Daily Mail comment.
  19. I really don't like the idea of empty seats for many of the reasons already mentioned. This is what I posted on RAWK: "There's been some suggestions in the past that the club should leave 96 seats empty at the new stadium in tribute to those who perished at the Hillsborough Disaster. It's an idea which has been used by Olympiakos to commemorate the 21 fans who died in their Gate 7 Disaster. Today there is an article in the Mirror regarding this (see below). Personally I am against this. I think we have a wonderfully dignified memorial already which acts as a real focus for remembrance for all fans. Also I feel having such a large block of empty seats would inhibit the atmosphere around the area - something I'd have thought the fans who died would never want. Instead I'd like to propose an alternative 96 seats idea. A block of 96 seats should be set aside for all games and given away free to schools in the local area on a rotational basis, allowing young fans their first glimpse of Anfield action. We all know the high cost prevents many kids getting to see the men in Red, and I think this proactive act of remembrance would be a worthier way of remembering those who perished in the act of supporting the Reds."
  20. Let's also not forget that Heinze hasn't played a decent game in two seasons. He's been fucking gash recently.
  21. have we bought another club on the quiet to play all these youngsters?
