Used to pretend to be half the foreign players on this thread, when havin a kick about back then. Especially in the summer around the tournaments. Good times!

I remember watching that milan game/weah goal, live on channel 4 on a sunday afternoon. It was great to be able to see those fantastic teams and players, week in week out, while not having sky or whatever.

''Bati gol'' was power and would have been superb in the prem.

Bulgarian keeper Bobby 'The Wig' Mihailov.

I couldn't find one of him without his wig, unfortunately. First person to find one can be crowned king of this thread.

He actually wore the wigs because he was involved in the wig business. Yes, really.

Bulgarian International and former Reading 'keeper Borislav Mihaylov gained notoriety during the 1994 World Cup Finals in the United States when he suddenly appeared with a full head of hair having been completely bald on top only weeks before. It turned out that he had decided to wear a wig to help promote his toupee company back home (During the Quarter Final game against Mexico, the poor man had to adjust his hairpiece under the protection of a towel after the blazing sun had caused him to sweat just a little too profusely…

But his midfield partner at Deportivo, Donato, only retired last year at 41 I think it was.

So, Xabi, Stevie and Mash....you have a few good years left

Shows what you get for looking after yourself. Players nowadays tend to look after themselves better than they did a decade ago. Mauro Silva/Donato definetly a good example to follow.
