PODCAST: Man City 2 Liverpool 3 - Match Reaction

The Reds have reached the FA Cup Final after a tremendous display at Wembley. The 3-2 scoreline doesn't come close to telling the full story of a game in which Liverpool dominated for long periods.

Sadio Mané scored twice and Ibou Konate found the net for the third game running, but City scored in the first and last minute of the second half to give the score a flattering look for them.

TLW Editor Dave Usher is joined by Ian Brown and Paul Natton to look back on a fabulous victory and to also preview the clash with the other half of Manchester on Tuesday night.

Somehow went almost 90 minutes but still forgot to mention the City fans disrupting the silence.

Do think it was decent that they immediately issued an apology from the club. Think Linekar read it out at half time.

Usually people equivocate, say some rotten apples, but the City held their hands up and said it wasn't on.

Haven't listened yet, and am looking forward to lots of gloating and I-told-you-so's. I hope there'll be time for other things once you've all finished talking about Arsenal.

Excellent again. Delighted when I woke this morning and it was up.

One more piece of luck that the Mancs had was scoring 2 against us in the last minutes in the FA cup 4th round to win 2-1.

If I recall correctly, their equaliser came from a free kick in midfield that wasn't even a foul in the first place.

It was just lucky that 'The Guvnor' was already in the bath with his Matey by then.

Best podcast of the season, that one. Good work boys. Brownie’s sneering contempt for the mancs is one of my favourite things ever and Paul’s line about Klopp’s team being like the great movie directors in showing us what they want, not telling us, was ace.

That's how I feel about it. I thought they handled it as well as they possibly could, no messing around, statement out immediately condemning it and Guardiola addressed it afterwards too. Loads of City fans are completely embarrassed by it too.

Never even mentioned Arsenal. It didn't feel right given that Jules wasn't on with me. We're bothers in arms on that.

Brownie revealing he's still in his thirties is the biggest shock of the season.

What????

Edit. I'm waiting to listen to it when I'm out driving later. I always had it in my head that Brownie was older.

The only thing with that is they didn’t post it to any of their social media accounts. They literally just issued a statement to some press agencies in the old school way. What Pep said was good though.
