1. MC Usher – Just heard Kenny wants to leave. Rashid Abdul Jabaar – what the fuck are you talking about? Kenny will be here forever, you wobbly head WUM. Sign Le Tissier! Rashid Abdul Jabaar is banned Jan Golby – where’d you hear this Davy? MC Usher – this lad I know in the youth team. Gonna be a great player this lad, he’ll captain us one day, Davy Thommo. 4times – is he anything to big nose? Code Alone – we should move for Fergie at United. MC Usher – apparently he wanted to leave in the summer but the board wouldn’t let him. They told him to take a holiday. In Rosenthal we trust – FERGIE!!! Ha ha ha 24 years since the mancs won the league and they’re no closer to it under this wino. He’d have more chance of keeping prisoners off the roof of strangeways. Only one man for this job, the prodigal son will return from Scotland. Code Alone – look at souness’s European record. He got them to the quarter final in 88 but since then they haven’t got past the 2nd round. InRosenthalwetrust – we’re not in Europe ye blert. Paul ‘s Boutique – I hate to say this but I can see this happening. He looks like a man with the weight of the world on his shoulders. Big Al – Moores is the problem, he’s got to go. Bring back John Smith! Code Alone – Fergie is building a decent side, he won the cup last year, he ended celtic and rangers domination in Scotland, he won the cup winners cup with Aberdeen. Foetusadona – this thread is crap so it is. Ian Brown – Davy, where’s my bucket hat? You’ve had since Spike Island last year. Pac man – team for Saturday Grobelaar, nicol, Hansen, Hysen, Staunton, Houghton, molby, mcmahon, barnes, Beardsley and Rush. Flux capacitor – if Kenny does leave we should look at bringing in a foreign manager. There’s a guy in spain just finished playing, a disciple of sacchi.... Red Nick – It’s like the last days of Paisley and Fagan. He’s lost the dressing room. Hi Ho Silver – Neither of those lost the dressing room Nick you seventh day Adventist. Seriously though if The King leaves we are fucked. Bazza – KENNY HAS LOST THE PLOT. HE SIGN SPEEDY AND JIMY CARTOR. HE DONT KNOW WHAT HE DOING. KENNY OUT. SOUEY IN. 4. not sure how to express this properly but for me, I dont like the term fan not sure when it became popular for the media to refer to people as fans but its just something that grates, seems its become more popular in recent years. wondering if its an american term thats crept in? ive always thought we were supporters. are you only a supporter if you actually go the match? but your a fan if you dont go but ring into things like talksport?
5. So the guy who reportedly sent the "save my team" email to his boss J Henry has left the Red Soxs after 8 years to join the new york rangers. http://www.sportspromedia.com/movers_and_shakers/top_executive_who_orchestrated_liverpool_deal_switches_allegiance/?utm_source=Feeds&utm_campaign=Movers+And+Shakers&utm_medium=rss Any of you baseballites know anything about why he 's left ?
6. There have been a few we've adored over the years but now it seems those days are gone. Why though? Is it down to the lack of quality, the lack of morality these bellends (not all obviously but the England team speaks for itself) have or is it something else? Gerrard is England's captain at times but he's still ours. The England fans never take to him as they do others like Fat Frank or Terry and I really couldn't give a shit about that. Owen was ours but then he went the way of England as well. Barnes was always ours first and foremost regardless of what he did in an England shirt. Emlyn Hughes I think was one of the few who performed the balancing act and Hunt but he was robbed of what could have been his greatest moment as an England player. Anyway the point is, who is there out there that could be English but still be loved more by Liverpool fan's and choose club over country. I left Carragher till last because I knew people would say how uber scouse he was, well he was, he was someone to be immensly proud of by his actions, right up until he made a mockery of everything he stood for and went to the world cup when the England boys came calling. It shouldn't be us and them but it blatently is. I am a massive fan already of Jonjo Shelveys and I hope that this is a dilemma that he has to face in the future. England or Liverpool. You can't be adored by both, it just doesn't work thesedays. Kelly ? I reckon he could have to choose one day as well. I'd love to support my national team but without sounding too over dramatic, I don't feel like I have a country to support or that supports me.
7. Its been a long time coming but today we saw the first green shoots appear within the team. Torres looked a different player than of late and a number of other players showed that they are starting to get a bit of believe back in their game It wont be long until we start to get the injured and suspended players back and any new signings would be a help also But even without signings this team will improve for having KK as manager Up till now we would have lost that game today having fallen behind but we kept at it and got the goal through a pen that no one could have any complaints about At times in the game we comited more players forward than i have seen for years, yes there are still all the same problems and will be for some time but i think the penny has dropped amongst the players and we can look forward to some wins on the bounce We will look back at the derby to see were our season turned around for us most loosing runs end with a draw before the wins begin and i believe this was the end of ours with games at Wolves, Fulham and Stoke, the latter two both at home before the away trip to Chelsea could see us arrive at the Bridge unbeaten in 4 and a different team form wise to the pre Christmas one
8. Similar to Kenny's  Anyone seen it?
9. So my Mrs has this friend who is black, She has massive boobs too, She feels that whenever she goes into a shop she is looked at funny for people thinking she is shop liffting, Infact at the moment she knows she has been accused of shop lifting from a small shop. She feels that it could be because she is black? How would this person confront the small shop owner and say that all she was doing was putting her purse back in her hand bag after giving her mum 50p!
10. I see Carra has shocked everyone with his public welcoming of the proposed takeover I wonder when people are goinna see through this self-serving PR crap The first thing I would do if taking over the club is I would say to carra 'what fucking business is it of yours who owns this club, you are being paid to perform on the pitch and you should focus on that - oh and by the way you wont be doing that at this club as its clear your attitude is all wrong and your understanding of what it really means to be a liverpool player is misplaced' I also heard Carra being quoted recently about how we would like people to think highly of Liverpool like they do with Arsenal. Have a think about what that really means. This guy is the ultimate bullshit merchant and yet, surprise surprise, most fans have bought into it - probably because of his accent and his 'never say die attitude' To my mind the phrase 'never say die' could equally be interpreted as 'out of positon and attempting last ditch tackle again in dramatic fashion' If we truly want to progress as a club, we need to judge players by reference to the great players of the past who took responsibility for what happened on the pitch and forgot about everything else If Carra had taken responsibility on the pitch in a real sense then I could forgive him for the part he has played in Rafa's departure (all journalists know carra and gerrard leaked against Rafa) and I suspect part of this was because rafa was not committed to extending 'Mr Liverpool's' contract We need to get back to reminding our players (whoever they are) that they are wearing a red shirt and are privileged to do so and we dont want that demonstrated with platitudes in the media - we want that demonstrated with effort, responsibility and leadership on the pitch
11. With our financial woes mounting and transfer targets being swiped from under our noses with depressing regularity, it's looking increasingly unlikely that Rafa will be able to strengthen the squad as he was wanting to. Meanwhile, Chelsea and Man U are fixtures in the top 4, and near-certainties to stay there, while Arsenal, for all their much-hyped troubles, haven't finished outside the top 4 since 1996. Knocking on the door are big-spending Man City, the richest club in world football, who have already beaten us to the signature of Gareth Barry, and look likely to beat us to Carlos Tevez too. No doubt there will be more big signings to come, and City look like they will start the season with a formidable squad of world-class footballers. 5 into 4 doesn't go, so given the above - will we retain our position in the top 4 and the Champions League qualification that goes with it? Or will our off-field troubles render us the odd man out at the end of the season?
12. As some of you may know I am being made redundant soon and I need to look at which ISA's and high interest savings accounts are available. I understand there will be minimal interest available anywhere so any information of good deals people know of will be greatly appreciated. Ideally I'm going to be looking at using the money as a deposit on a house but without any job lined up I may well have to dip into the money occasionally. Therefore I'd rather a deal where I'm not going to get massively penalised for this, any help folks?
13. Lets have a bit of fun, all have a guess and we can dig this thread out when they are being dug. I'm going for Hicks 2017 and Gillette 2020.
14. Not really, but that's pretty much the equivalent, isn't it?
15. What will happen to this football club without a change of Owners. The reality as Catch 22 points out is that we have the 5th best wages/Transfers and wages in the division. However whilst we have Torres & Gerrard we will probably finish in the top 4 this season. However the economic reality is that next season it will be much harder to maintain that position as Man City & Arsenal will address there own situations and in Arsenal's case they will have more money to spend than us. Also if Arsenal or Man City finish 5th I dont think it would impact on them as negatively as us finishing 5th So please leave Rafa out of this debate and just address the question what would happen to LFC when we finish 5th under these owners?
16. There is a piece in today's Irish Times, about the Irish economy, by MORGAN KELLY. He has been seen as very negative, but seems he is quite accurate on the whole and most of the others has been too optimistic. Makes for sobering reading. Brought to our knees by bankers and developers - The Irish Times - Fri, Jul 03, 2009.
17. I know a good few of you will probably have seen this, but incase some haven't I just thought I'd link it. I saw it on the Echo's site and it's easily the funniest I've seen yet. Love the way the Liverpool guy's mind seems properly blown after Fabio's goal too. Just seeing him going crazy brings back memories of watching the game too, what a match that was.
18. Local Liverpool TNF's help me out please. I have a fair wedge to spend on a new TV after I was burgled, the insurance company though have given me Curry's vouchers. Currys is well over priced, but they do a pricematch within 10 miles. My two local Currys stores are, Aintree and the one on Edge Lane. What shops are there that I can check the prices of tv's I fancy. I'm pretty settled on a Sony W4000, or the 4500. a 46" one I've come up with Comet Richer Sounds Sony Centre Any others you can think of?
19. Watching the tediious game yesterday and seeing so many average players in a Liverpool shirt we all decided RAFA was an absolute fucking genius to have this bunch of players top of the league true brilliance. However the flipside is most of those average players were bought by Rafa and the MOM by some distance was signed by some Houllier. Saying that Alonso and Reina had a huge say in us winning the game. Personally I think Rafa is a Genius for getting this group of players top of the league but he has made some poor buys.
