  1. Just spoke a guy on the phone who lives in Essex and has done for over 40 years. He was born in Speke and hasn't lost his accent. He sounds like the true scouse accent should; like watching an old 1960's film reel of Liverpool folk. Not a hint of the abortion that the young idiots come out with today. I love a genuine scouse accent and all my mate have it and don't need to exagerrate when in the company of non-scousers.
  2. I thought this thread was a wind up; I didn't people who are computer literate used them. Just check out hotels on Tripadvisor etc and search hotel prices on Hotel.com (or similar). Your just paying a travel agen to do something that you can do easier and cheaper yourself. I haven't used an agent for over 10 years and been away over 20 times.
  3. I forsee (no pun intended) anyone using these will develop a cock-eye within months leading to divorce/singledom and therefore increasing the need to use them to see naked ladies. It's a trap, everyone beware.
  4. Does Nige and Ian not play these days?
  5. The oil companies are constantly testing the water as to what to public will pay by constantly increasing and decreasing (slightly) the cost of fuel. It's not a matter of what it costs to produce as we are told, its what us soft arses agree to pay. The Govt won't intervene due to the massive tax they earn from it. Gangs of corrupt cunts. I'd love to live close to work and fuck of my car.
  6. About 6 years ago the price of fuel increased massively over a few months. I remember filling up in Hemel Hempstead and was gutted that it was £1.25 for a litre of diesel. But in the 6 years since its gone up by approx 11p per litre, which is not a great increase over 6 years. My opinion is the public were told this increase was due to the economic collapse etc..blah blah blah... and the petrol companies were happy to reap the rewards but have realised the public cannot afford much more and have slowed down the increases, unless they want a full scale meltdown. Basically its all corrupt and we are all paying for our government not having the balls to stand up to them as well as a ridiculous taxation.
  7. Never going to support those twats but IF Chelski win I will be pleased only for Rafa. He's done the job he was criticised for by their fans and media and it will do his reputation no harm. He can then give them the big 'fuck you' and walk away with his head held high.
  8. Not that I know what his daughter looks like. I meant 12 year old girl!
  9. Three pages of Birthdays celebrations from 3 days ago for someone who alledgedly is disliked on this site. Well I'm standing on my chair in work spinning slowly whilst pointing at the screen and laughing at the divvies who dissed the legend RL.
  10. I personally don't like them. If the rumours are true about causing medical problems or ruining clothes I think they should be banned. As well as potentially adding to our increasing negative media attention the only people who benefit from it are the idiots who let them off. It may add slightly to the atmosphere but the negatives outway the positives IMO.
  11. I'd love McLaren to be appointed. With his incredible ability to mimic any accent it will be brilliant to hear. It'll be 'innit lid' after every comment once he's wandered down the north west La Ramblas AKA County Road.
  12. I am not anti-Rodgers, I like what he is doing. My only problem if I am being complete honest is; I feel Rodger MAY bring back some glory within the next few years and that is being very optimistic, but the bottom line is I want Rafa back before he moves to another team and becomes successful (which he will) and comfortable and coming back to Anfield will not be an option to him as it may be a big step backwards. Meanwhile, we plod on with unsuccessful managers and drop further and further down the league.
  13. I agree totally. Fuck the CL win and the two finals in three years, oh and the FA cup win and the top ranking team in Europe for three years and over £100million prize money generated and if I may, the less than £8million nett spend per year. But with Rodgers we won the passing. Whoop, Fucking Whoop. Oh and the trophy for 7th, get out the bunting.
  14. Exactly my thoughts. Great passionate post.
  15. No, I'm far from bored. Kenny took over a superb team in a league far inferior from today. The comparisons cannot be made exactly but with respect to KD its easier to win again with a team who have been used to winning from 2nd place than it was when Rafa walked into. The bottom line is that maybe Kenny aside, RB was the best manager we have had since Paisley.
  16. How interesting how the 'In Brendan we trust' brigade demand that we all give 100% backing to a manager who has moved us from 8th to 7th but happily stab in the back the best manager this club has seen since maybe Paisley. Even Kenny's 1st time achievements, although very successful were with a league winning team and a budget to match any club in the world.
  17. I overcome that problems by buying from BHS. Pink striped grandad shirt reduced from £20 to £16. Bargain, and it makes me look like the model on the instore photo.
  18. I don't think he would a bad choice for them. He knows everyone and the systems and tactics used and seems to be respected by the players. He will also cost nothing to buy out and ,as his brother has already shown us, he can be a clever guy. I've seen worst choices mentioned.
