no to HSBC cant be fucked carrying that little calculator thing with me everywhere i go, Abbey are also shit not to mention all the shit you have to do for online banking, Lloyds im almost entirely convinced are all trained to be as unhelpful and dumbwitted as possible. Halifax have been ok since ive had my mortgage with them as well as account but been thinking about moving to First Direct when they do the £125 or i think i even saw £150 for switching a while back, oh and Natwest are just a bunck of fucking cowboys from first hand experience working for them a few years ago

First direct consistently get top ratings for customer service and uk call centres only, it's just a pain in the arse to switch.

With the Co-Op being taken over by a group of American hedge funds I can see myself moving pretty soon.

 

Reckon First Direct or Nationwide are most likely.

I'm with Co-op but I can't see a big change in their philosophy even if taken over by a hedge fund. They'd lose too many customers if the ethics totally changed. I'd recommend Co-op to anyone.
