Anyone a fan?

Don't know why but I've been listening to lots recently, maybe reminiscing about raiding my old mans record collection and feeling amazed that such things exist! Anyways...

If you can see past the casual racism and unchecked homophobia of their lyrics they were just utter, utter shite.

Unfettered is a better word than unchecked. Anyway, if you could see past all of that, it was just a blank wall i.e. there wasn't anything else.

They were, however, funny as fuck back in the day. Unlike a lot of comedy bands, they could also play their instruments as well.

I hardly posted it for its musical worth, it's puerile, I agree, it's hardly malicious though, they're probably too thick to be malicious!

Aye, of their time, I guess and everything's 20/20 with the benefit of hindsight (and age). Agree on Hudu's points about my wordage and their musicianship - Phil McCavity was a blindingly good guitarist though. Anybody on here ever go to one of their gigs?

I had friends that saw them numerous times and their songs are a piss take of the music industry as a whole. Their public persona was one of thick northern lads whereas in reality they were from middle class backgrounds and very intelligent.

The lads that I know used to visit their shop in Macclesfield on a regular basis, got to know them fairly well and said they were a decent bunch of blokes.
