Reds set to un-fire the Lazar?

According to the Liverpool ECHO the Reds have the option to recall Lazar Markovic from his loan spell at Fenerbahce in the January window, and Jurgen Klopp “is likely” to do it.

Markovic was sent to Turkey for the year by former boss Brendan Rodgers who never really fancied him, but the club (not Rodgers) were always adamant that he would return. Usually season long loans cannot be cut short unless the other club decides to send the player back, so it’s interesting that Liverpool have the option to recall the player as it suggests there was no loan fee involved.

Perhaps the club were planning for the very situation that developed, with Rodgers losing his job and his replacement seeing the £20m Markovic as a viable option? With games coming thick and fast and a growing injury list restricting the manager’s options to rotate, Markovic would have been a useful option to have now, but come January that may not be the case depending on whether or not the Reds progress in the cup competitions.

Right now recalling Markovic looks like a good idea, but that may change by the time he is eligible for a return and Klopp will have to weigh up whether or not the Serbian will get games here or if he would be better served playing every week for Fenerbahce.

With Joe Gomez now ruled out for the season Andre Wisdom is another loanee who Klopp could really use right now. Handed a contract extension over the summer, he was then promptly shipped off to Norwich where he has featured just twice in the Premier League.

The idea was for him to gain experience through regular football, but Norwich aren’t delivering that so perhaps an agreement could be reached to terminate his loan, although with Jon Flanagan due back in December the need for full back cover may be less pressing.

Or the players is disgruntled that he was bundled to the exit after putting in some uninspiring performances under a man who forced him to play in positions in which he was unsuited?

Bad attitude? That's putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 17.

Who would have caused the bad feeling between the two, BRs job was to pick a team he thought would win while Markovics job was to do what he was told by the manager. There was better players ahead of Markovic last season and I can understand the managers decision, Markovic should have got on with his job instead of complaining.

What happens if Klopp wants to play Milner on the right and Milner gets unhappy because he wants to play central, I wouldn't call that bad man management and if Milner kicks up a fuss I would view him as the one in the wrong.

Fucking hell pennant, he's gone get over it.

It is still ok to not place blame on him for things that are not his fault you know. Why did he have a good relationship with players like Ibe and Henderson who he played in different positions, is it bad management or are these players complaining not being the best professionals?

I personally want players here who are going to fight for their place and do what the manager says.

I want to stop talking about Rodgers and give every player a clean slate. It doesn't matter one iota what players had a good relationship with Rodgers or a bad relationship, he doesn't have anything to do with any of them anymore.

Only Liverpool could spend 20m on a player, never play him in his position and then loan him out without a recall clause.

Couldn't make it up.

Markovic hasn't done that much but certainly looks to have a bigger upside than Lallana given their respective ages.

Playing Milner in a position he has played more than any other in his career versus playing a 20 year old attacking midfielder as a fullback, in his first season in a new league.

Seems pretty similar.

First paragraph is complete bullshit. Who would cause the bad feeling between the two? Fuck if I or anyone else knows. Rodgers picks a team to win? No, he picked his players as an act of defiance to the committee he was on. He cut his nose to spit his face there. Better players ahead of Marko? Extremely debatable, as they all played shite. Marko should get on with the job and bot complain? I didn't hear a single negative thing that ge said whilst being misused by you.

Your second paragraph, gross stupidity. Milner, by trade, is a right midfielder. It's unarguably his best position. Marko is not, nor will he ever be a RWB. Big difference.

Damn you are stupid...

Christ, some people writing the lad off after what, 20 bit part appearances? And since when did we have to sign a usain bolt speed merchant?

Hopefully Klopp will give him a chance to shine before any decision is finally made to cut our losses.

He is only 21, he deserves more than another chance.

It doesn't matter how old JP is, he's got to pull his tongue out of B-Rod's arsehole. Dogs do that, and you're not a dog, are you JP?
