  1. Getting the bump in early.
  2. The last 6 months have been great for football. Clubs that thought the rules were for others have found its not the case. On the back of this the idea is madness, the January transfer window was the first sane window in living memory. The knock on affects of proper enforcement were visible for all to see. That ultimately benefits everyone bar agents and maybe players and those looking for change the rules before they feel the force of them.
  3. Last I checked every team played the same amount of home games so had the same amount of advantages. Its not a huge issue but any changing of rules during the season is wrong. Some teams will have played more home games than others, so if its actually an advantage the league have allowed some clubs to benefit more than others.
  4. The target is 6 points from Thursday and Sunday, goal difference isn't a thing we should be concerned about, its currently 8 behind Arsenal and will be a minimum of 9 for goal difference to become a thing. Sheffield Utd is obviously the best opportunity to improve that number but its also the last opportunity we have to rest players, the later is the more important of the 2 factors. Besides that Everton will allow Arsenal bum them as hard as they need too and Moyes will pull the pants down at City should it be them we're up against on the final day.
  5. I turned off all the health tracking stuff a long time ago. I don't need Samsung to justify the exercise I've done or judge me when I haven't. Feel much better for it too.
  6. The cunts can get 2 separate deductions, not win in 13 matches and still be outside the bottom 3. They're unflushable, even next season promoted 3 look like guaranteeing them another free year.
  7. I get that, it's the why I don't get. What would have been the consequences of Virgil saying put like 99% of other CB's? Why not pass players on? Things like these I would need an geek analysis of access to wide angle cameras.
  8. It's refs like him that make having someone like Clattenburg employed worthwhile. Taylor has an absolute style of reffing and its changes given the type of match. In the big games he doesn't make decisions, Sundays game a case in point, he avoids trouble like the plague. Didn’t watch it all but no doubt he threw out a couple of token gesture yellow cards late on, he certainly let a few stonewall yellows go in the parts I watched. If you think back to all the times he's pissed us off it's usually by not making a decision rather than making a bad one. The point I'm making is we can be really aggressive on Sunday and he will let it go both ways.
  9. Don't know if the lack of posts in this thread reflects lower listenership with it being Easter but I'd suggest anyone that hasn't listened takes a couple of hours out to enjoy. I thought it was brilliant from start to finish, starts with a cracker on Joey Barton and just gets better. I agreed with everything in it, especially the intricacies of the midfield, I find watching the reds v Brighton is when I doubt myself most about what's happening on a football pitch. Virgil ended pressing or semi pressing beyond the midfield multiple times, no idea what led to that. Darwin had a quiet enough game but then Mo was clear through or close to it about 8 times. That doesn't happen unless Darwin is doing something very tactical that is beyond us mere mortals, especially those watching on TV.
  10. I watched the game on record knowing the result and somehow Coote still managed to infuriate me. That was as bad as the refereeing performance against Villa where that cunt deliberately set out to show Jurgen who's boss. As well as the ref we had Sky not showing replays for our offsides and 3 or 4 nothing fouls and finally a non corner that Bradley looked totally bemused by. Even the language the commentator was using was suspicious, calling close offsides clear offsides and then showing no replays. I actually felt sorry for Welbeck, he got booked for telling ref to send off Mac Allister. He must have been thinking why are booking me when we have literally told you what to do for the entire and you have obliged.
  11. We've been over this, repping a post in no ways signifies any kind of agreement with said post.
  12. When I worked in a warehouse I was able to lift more than a shoddy pallet truck. When the occasion demanded it I was lifting 15 pallets and placing them on shelves 30 feet in the air.
  13. Mbeumo is back, on the bench tonight I think. I'd confidently predict Brentford will stay up even if they pick up only 3 more points, a couple of draws will probably be enough.
  14. Negged for shit twitter link. Richard Hughes has a job, he won't be interviewing anyone soon.
  15. That Chelsea pen today is a shocker, that cunt should be 4th official in an under 10s game.
  16. Amanda Brown has been doing the rounds in recent weeks promoting her book, "no peace until he's dead", a story about another high profile unionist and also an Irish international rugby player. I do wonder if her strength and bravery have given these particular victims the courage to speak up? I won't be buying the book as it sounds horrific but it's below for anyone with the stomach. https://www.irishacademicpress.ie/product/no-peace-until-hes-dead-my-story-of-child-sex-abuse-at-the-hands-of-davy-tweed-and-my-journey-to-recovery/
  17. Arsenal would have to win their last 18 games for us not be able to over take them. I'd fancy Arsenal not doing that a lot more than I would City dropping points on the run if they beat Arsenal. Arsenal win first, draw second, City win third.
  18. I love the football De Zerbi plays but then only occasionally do they meet the 2 banks of 5 that we do. When teams haven't engaged them they have struggled. The journey man tag is a little harsh, he was a young manager floating around the bottom of Serie A, managers don't last a month down there. Then his Shaktar spell ended due to circumstances beyond his control. Overall I think it's a risk worth taking. Alonso looks to be too perfect at everything. Beautiful face and hair, great football, perfect record, loyal character. He's more Real Madrid than us. If we really want him then get Bielsa in for a year.
  19. That's on the boss not the players. Saka, as an example obviously made up an injury to stay away, that's different from faking an injury after 10 minutes 2 games in a row. That throws up all sorts of problems that could be avoided by not being a cunt. Hopefully they're both really patriotic and their injuries are of the serious nature.
  20. Be interesting to see what kind of reaction there is if Walker and/or Stones play on Sunday. Surely faking injury for the national team is worse than change the colour of the national team cross?
  21. That tackle could be anything from back to training tomorrow to out for 8 weeks. All sorts going there.
  22. Good Friday was always a tricky one, in Ireland anyway. Never an official bank holiday but most business's treated it as such. Is it the same for Easter Monday?
  23. Is Diaz senior still living in England and his mam back in Columbia? If that's the case it's a no brainer the family would prefer to be somewhere they understand the language.
  24. There is a correlation on our opinion of the kits and the performance the team put in in those jersey's.
  25. Jurgen won't be happy with the 9 o'clock start.
