  1. We bought a 3d TV last year. We weren't actively looking for one, mainly got it for the price, we were looking at 50" screens and this one just happened to be 3d. Samsung, so need the active glasses - ours came with none! Bought a set of eBay, they were near £50 a go in the shops. Very gimmicky, after the initial "fun" they have hardly been used - in fact I think last thing I watched with them was Olympic opening ceremony, which was pretty good.
  2. When you take the traditional Chrimbo Eve photo of your kids in front of the Christmas tree before they go the pub, instead of going to bed waiting for Santa!
  3. Aldo does the Radio City phone in and this was discussed after the match. They also had texts from some Blues on the way back from West Ham that Sturridge was on their train back to Liverpool.
  4. IT department for a bank. Lets say some of the toilet issues have only been observed since some jobs were off shored and could maybe be put down to cultural differences. The lad who made the claim about hearing the anonymous wanker was a bit of a crank, but as he made the complaint formal HR advised that they had to see it through an reiterate the message to all staff. Felt sorry for the guy delivering the message, we made it hell for him.
  5. http://s10.postimage.org/f0aojt0qh/image.jpg' alt='image.jpg'> host images[/img] These appeared on all cubicles in our work earlier in the year. A spate of broken toilet seats, and all sorts of objects including sandwich boxes and newspapers being dumped in them. Feckin nightmare trying to find a working bog sometimes! This, approx 2 years after all the lads were pulled in by management and told that "masturbating in work was not allowed" after some nobhead claimed he heard someone having a wank in the cubicle next to him. Was hilarious being told this, especially when someone asked the manager delivering this news to us, did this rule still apply if we were working from home!
  6. Genesis, Leeds Roundhay Park, 1987. First (and sadly only) time I saw them live Coldplay, Etihad Stadium, 2012. Never really been a fan but one brilliant show Paul McCartney, Queens Dock, 1990. Never thought I would get the chance to see a Beatle play live Close contender was Fish at Leamington Spa Assembly Rooms this year. Still got it, and dug out some classic Marillion tracks from 30 years ago!
  7. Who are you flying with? We just been to Vegas last week, flew with Virgin. I loaded my ipad up with 1st series of Breaking Bad for the flight but never got round to watching it as the selection of movies/tv shows from Virgin in flight was pretty good. Might be better buying one out there. I bought an ipad retina display for my mate while out there, he reckons it saved him about £80. Don't forget to add tax on if browsing US sites (8.1%)
  8. Thanks for the replies. We stayed in Aria, I did ask in their sports book but couldn't get a definitive answer. With it being 8am, I just wanted to get up and go somewhere where I knew it would defo be on. Anyway, ended up in Crown & Anchor, as recommended above. Was ok in there, and enabled me to enjoy a full English brekkie as well! Just a shame about the result.
  9. Out in Vegas at the moment. Been trying to find somewhere we can watch the Liverpool game tomorrow. TV in room doesn't seem to carry the footy (didn't show the earlier games) and couple of bars we have asked I'm have said no. Have asked in the hotel we are staying and they advised that the sports book in our hotel may show it but couldn't guarantee it. So, anyone else had the experience of being over here and trying to catch the game and can make any recommendations?
  10. Have to be honest, at home that sounded like "Where's your famous atmosphere"
  11. 2 programmes next week, both called "Hillsborough: The Search For Truth". BBC1, Sunday 9th at 10.25pm and ITV, Monday 10th at 10.35pm.
  12. We had them in our house when we first moved in. The house had been empty for a few months, with the windows locked in a slightly open position. They kept coming out of holes in the frames of the window. We got pest control out who said they couldn't do much about them! Kept clearing them away. They did return the following year but we kept windows completely closed. Never saw them again the following year or since.
  13. Chevrolet have today just been confirmed as United's new shirt sponsors as well. BBC News - Man Utd gets Chevrolet as new shirt sponsor Man Utd gets Chevrolet as new shirt sponsor The Premier League runners-up will not have Aon on their shirts from 2014 Manchester United has signed a new deal to have its shirts sponsored by US car brand Chevrolet. The deal for an "undisclosed amount" is for seven years and begins from the 2014-2015 season, the club said. Chevrolet, which is made by General Motors, takes over from current sponsor Aon. Manchester United was recently called the most valuable club in sport, worth $2.23bn (£1.43bn), according to Forbes magazine. Chevrolet is only the fifth shirt sponsor in the club's history. "This is a fantastic, long-term deal for the club," said Manchester United's commercial director Richard Arnold. "They are a key partner on our current tour and I know they have enjoyed experiencing the buzz generated by our fanatical support and the sell-out crowds in South Africa, China, and Europe." Earlier this month Manchester United applied to list on the US stock market in a share sale aimed at raising a minimum $100m (£64m). The club has been controlled since 2005 by the Glazer family, the billionaire US sports investors who also own the Tampa Bay Buccaneers American football franchise.
  14. Not a dry eye in our house watching it. The story of Stan was the one that got me. And the survivor at the end, talking about the guilt - just made me think of the 96 and how I feel sometimes. RIP
  15. Nope. Can't find it. I know it does exist as its there on my Android app on my phone.
  16. Got an iPad yesterday and have took some suggestions from this thread. Downloaded Forum Runner but can't find the Liverpool Way in there. Anyone else has this problem?
  17. I was browsing on there once for LFC stuff and noticed the program from the '96 final coming up regular for a few quid. After a bit of digging, it turns out the program sold out on the day and as they completed a double it became a bit if a collectors item. Jumped in loft to find it. In pristine condition as it got flung on the back seat of the car upon leaving Wembley and was never read. Listed it on Ebay and got £110! Happy days, taking money from a Manc!
  18. I know someone has posted on the Carling Cup thread but could be missed so starting a new thread to make people aware: National Rail Enquiries - Current Service Alterations

  20. Just made the ITV news as well....
  21. Interestingly, just been on Twitter and the when searching for the username @nickparrotbbc I get a message "This user does not exist." Can only assume this is the BBC trying to distance themselves from the situation as it defo did exist last night!!
