  1. He's a knob and the woe-is-me statement is pathetic pr spin. If he wanted Dennis Wise (fuck knows what he did at Leeds to impress Ashley) to scout and select players he should have gone all the way and made him manager. The simple fact is that he's woefully out of his depth.
  2. Indeed, and having three quality cb's will keep them all on their toes;).
  3. They outlived the last monster thread of 'in the know' tips and will probably still be here in 12 months time.:(
  4. He maybe sometimes feels he's got to give us a verbal kicking to prove his impartiality to his paymasters.
  5. The gamble on Diouf, Diao and Cheyrou was a turning point imho. We had some impetus and were looking forwards but it was a lot of money on two poor players and one horrid snide.
  6. I should laugh at all the 'won by a short arm' gags but it's a bit sad that both probably but in equal effort and the able-bodied are feted and the disabled lampooned.
  7. Better than the first series. But part of the strength of Harry Enfield & Chums and the Fast Show was a ensemble of writers in the background - I think they're now gone.
  8. This was a staple diet for me through the late 80s and early 90s, handily placed for that post-hangover/just before Footie Focus hour. I recall a couple of vids from it that I posted in Woo's Ipod thread, but does anybody else recall any bands that have since vanished from trace and memory? Anyone recall Eat? MwzEuXkEEFI
  9. It's smooth but I've been drawn back to FF.
  10. Nothing he's said has upset or surprised me so the daily 'revelations' have kinda washed over me. Carra seems the type that would call a spade a spade, and at a time many within the club are playing pr spin, a bit of honesty is refreshing.
  11. Online. An email dropped into my mailbox saying OMG a plane has accidentally hit the Twin Towers, I rushed to a tv and saw the second one hit and twigged this was no accident. Spent the rest of the day glued to the box expecting one to plough into the White House. My one overriding memory is of the jumpers. A haunting image.
  12. Pulled the first out aged about 25;' big mistake as there was soon a tuft of the fuckers to replace it. Now turned 40 it's salt n pepper - like Clooney minus the birds.
  13. Ministry of Fear Fritz Lang's adaptation of the Graeme Greene novel. The typical Hollywood 'England' and and a disjointed plot but an engaging wartime noir all the same.
  14. Out of interest why, I was here when this was a crappy Bravenet forum with about 5 posts per day.
  15. Thought there were a few funny scenes but on the whole it was average.
  16. I'd have thought the most obvious target would be the RBS F1 cars. Guaranteed a massive audience.
  17. Burial because it's uber-trendy drum n bass shit.
  18. Very 'samey' album and the new tracks are weak.
  19. I should laugh as it's the Gallaghers but like happy slapping it's just a cowardly attempt on someone unawares, and I hope security kicked fook out of him backstage.
