    I hope we just get this over with quickly. He should be asked his intentions now, and if he wont commit then he needs to be sold as soon as the transfer window opens. No pissing about please, we have a title to challenge for next season!

    As soon as Kenny arrived we started playing better football with most of it being played on the ground so I really don't see us suddenly becoming a long ball team because of this game. The midfield let us down badly. You have to move and make yourself available for a pass rather than standing in a straight bank of 4 being easily marked. Agger could of made a big difference as at least he would have tried to bring the ball forward on the ground.

    Wow, what a difference to how Hodgson handled these things. It all feels so very very right with Kenny at the helm and today he certainly didn't look like a manager who'd been out the game for 10 years. People can say all they want about how football has changed over the years, but one thing that hasn't changed is that football is a relatively simple game based on confidence and good players. People get too hung up over tactics and formations. Liverpool in the 80's perfected a pass and move game because the players were good enough and confident enough with each other to play this way. If Kenny can manage to muster up a few decent signings this transfer window then I'm excited to see how our play will develop.

    I get the feeling that the real annoyance is coming from the fact that a lot of the media seem to think that we should have just excepted our new found mediocrity and learned to live with it. I think our treatment of Roy was very tame when you compare it to how some other supporters clubs act. 4 points off relegation, we had every right to call for a change in management, but the media think NO, JUST EXCEPT YOU ARE NOW SHIT, leave honest & charming Roy alone you scouse bastards!

    Do you think Konchesky should of said something about this rather than saying nothing at all. I know he shouldn't have to apologise for his own mother, but by saying nothing he's basically agreeing with her.

    I've put a fiver on us to win 5-0 at 22-1. Everything adds up for me that were going to get a decent performance today. We've been good at home all season, we've had a good rest, Gerrard is back, Wolves played 3 days ago. probably 0-0 then!!!

    I think we have a better chance of getting at result at Spurs than we did of beating Stoke, Yet most people fancied us to beat them. Spurs will come at us from the start, so as long as we can play a few decent balls up to nando then I think we have a chance.

    As things stand now I would say we may just pip 4th spot provided we can keep a fairly fit 1st team for most of the season. If investment comes in before xmas, then we could very well finish higher than that provided some top class talent is added in January.

    I can only judge him on what i've seen of him so far, and up to now this is the best i've seen him play in a Liverpool shirt and it still leaves a hell of a lot to be desired. He may develop into a better player 4 years down the line but we simply dont have that luxury of having a squad good enough to support players of his standard if we are serious about challenging for titles and such.

    Peoples judgements often get clouded when you end up having a lot of shite players in the team, because you start to think the average ones are better than they actually are. Lucas IS average, he would not have got anywhere near a Liverpool first team 20 years ago, and it just goes to show how much standards are starting to drop. Lucas is performing at the top of his game right now, but the top of his game is still not good enough for LFC unfortunately.

    Wont matter if we score 4 though will it! But in all seriousness the weather conditions tonight are really bad, swirling wind mixed in with sleet and snow, so I think it could be a bit of an ugly one. After seeing the line up though I'm feeling a lot more positive about us getting a decent result.

    We've not won a thing since the FA Cup and that was going on 4 years ago. You can only judge a Liverpool Manager by what he has won, which is 2 trophies in 5 years and that is completely unacceptable for a club of our calibre. I want the owners, the manager and half the players he signed GONE as we are on one fucking scary slide into mediocrity, and one which we may never return from. It really is that bad!

    Rafa needs to ask some serious questions about his transfer budget for next season, I'm talking hard figures. He needs to know if he will be given enough money to replace Mash AND improve the rest of the squad.

    Its a calculated risk that were taking on this one. Knowing how methodical Rafa is in everything he does he's probably not expecting to get a full season out of Aqualini. But he will still probably contribute more than Lucas, Plessis & Spearing (whos time will come!) in terms of goals and assists. I get the feeling that we are having to compromise a little here, as we do need another class midfielder but dont have 35 mil to spend on one. So we go and get an injury prone one for a knocked down price instead.

    Best team we've had in 20 years, so we'll have a great chance of winning it. I'd wait until the transfer window closes before making any predictions though.

    As long as they dont spoil it with low budget CGI effects (which they will!) then it sounds like a winner.

    Anything less than 25 mil for him in todays market, then the transfer has to be a no go. I'm not too worried about the prospect of him going as at least up to now the owners have allowed Rafa to spend any of the money he makes up on sales. This means if he and Arbeloa say their goodbyes then we could be looking at a transfer kitty of around 40 mil, presuming the owners keep to the same mantra of letting Rafa use money he makes on sales. With that in mind, I honestly think that if the only other player we brought in was Villa, then we would have a great chance of winning the title. As we have already seen how well Torres and Villa link up for Spain, so we could probably afford to let Gerrard slip back into midfield. If we bid for Villa, I really do think he would rather come here than any of the other English clubs in for him. Imagine Slurs face if he choose us over them, and I really think he would.

    Its almost as if Rafa and Sammy have agreed 'The biggest response to all this is we hardly give any response at all" which is exactly what they have done. Kind of just brushed it aside as if to say 'not even worth it'. It was clever letting Sammy do the press conference, as I think Rafa knew the response had to be done in the upmost 'Liverpool Way'. Rafa may have found it harder not to lay into the 2 nobs if he had done it. Very well played.

    As much I agree with you, do you have to use the thread title "I hope you die, you bastard", as its that kind of shit that will be used against us when he prints his next shitty excuse of an article. Dont give vile people within the press ammunition to use against us.

    I was reading the BBC pre game stats and was surprised when I read this.. Only Aston Villa have fielded fewer players in Premier League matches this season (21), than Liverpool (23) and Fulham (24).

    We need to very quickly find that mindset that we've had since the Madrid game. We need a performance, and I think we'll get one, because if the chance to go top of the league cant motivate the side into producing their best football then nothing will. This is weirdly probably more of test for us than playing Madrid and Manure, and it will probably define whats going to happen come the end of the Season.

    Its like fate is just saying 'go on its there if you want it', and it has been all season. After the last two performances, and todays results, it would be impossible for us not to up for this one. Can someone give us some 'spooky' statictics on how this year is just like 1990 when we last won it! You know, istanbul style!
