    We are a big massive humongous threat to what they want to achieve, they are shit scared of us! The whole 'everyone hates scousers' thing is a bit overblown to be honest. No one would give 2 shits if we were some shitty bottom half club.

    One thing I just can't get my around is there has been almost no reaction from the media about Kane admitting going down to win the penalty. He's basically saying he's simulated the action to win a pen. I hate this bollocks about 'if there is contact a player is ENTITLED to go down (i.e. DIVE!). The way Kane falls looks so unnatural that its as clear as day that he's dived! I can't recall a much worst display between a ref and linesman to cost us a game.

    Its basically fucked up the league. Any normal season, us signing a top class centre back after having lost only twice, you'd be thinking about a very real title challenge. Being 20 points behind them is surreal.

    It's made that Bournemouth draw a lot easier to take as I would have expected to drop points in at least one of our last couple of games. I really hope we don't balls this up now, it's in our own hands so let's just get it done (top 4 finish that is!)

    we really do need to find some of the energy we had in the first couple of months of the season. We're still putting a big shift in but we just don't look as sharp and the movement has been nowhere near as good. It's clear as day that a couple of decent signings would set us up very well for the rest of the season

    They've not actually steamrolled any of the top 6 teams this season though have they. They're not shit nor are they great, and it's not unreasonable to think we can beat them.

    The thing that stands out for me is that none of our rivals have matched the brilliant attacking football we've produced in the first half of the season. A couple of iffy performances have made people forget just how outstanding we've looked for most of the season. We are currently a better side than United and can certainly win there. If we match their intensity we will win or at least get a draw. This is klopps team now, just look at his record against mourinho! Not many managers can match that (just ask wenger). Don't worry about form, it doesn't matter when it comes to these games. I'm expecting a big performance tomorrow!

    I loved Klopps comment about how frustrating it must be for Chelsea that were still only 6 points behind after the run they've been on! If you think it about it, it's actually fuckin amazing that were only a couple of dodgy Chelsea results to reigning them in. We've coped much better without coutinho than I was expecting, which bodes very well for the second half of the season.

    With coutinho out til probably mid Jan and mane gone all Jan it will force klopps hand in the transfer market! I expect at least one attacker being brought in.

    Have any of the other top teams played as well have we have this season though. Chelsea are looking good this season I'll admit, but don't you think they're thinking the same about us. They still concede chances like we do but I think our attack is a lot more expansive than theirs. Teams may find a way to play against Chelsea over the course of the season but they'll find the way we play a lot more difficult if we can maintain our form. If we can stay within a couple points of the top after the new year we will have a great chance. It's just great to be in with a shout again!

    We lack bottle and leadership, it's as clear as day! We can put a great run together, no doubt about that, but when it comes to the crunch we fail big time. Probably been said on this thread before but this game had eerie echoes of last seasons Chelsea home game. We truly shit the bed today, if teams bully and harass us on the ball we often lose composure and it seems to effect our whole game plan. Expect more teams to take this approach to us between now and the end of the season!

    It only takes an early goal and a sending off. Its not in the realms of fantasy for that to happen with the way Pulis likes his players to be a bit, shall we say, aggressive?

    Although it probably is just pure fantasy that we can we win it on goal difference, it would add even more pressure on city if we DID happen to pummel them. Any bit of extra doubt in their minds is a good thing so we need to approach this all guns blazing. We don't go down without a fight! I'm expecting a big performance from the player of the year tonight!

    I keep waiting for another sci fi masterpiece to come along and after watching this tonight....the wait goes on. I'm not saying it was a bad film or that I didn't enjoy it but it did leave me, like many other people, a bit underwhelmed. I was hoping for some some gritty realism as in the original alien but this for the most part was very run of the mill sci fi stuff. It was trying to answer questions about the original film that didn't really need answering in my opinion.

    I find it remarkable how many people seem to think that we couldn't attract a manager of Guardiolas calibre. Taking englands most successful club back to the very top of european football would be seen as a monumental achievement by any manager, and it would attract serious interest from any one of them.

    Its actually harder to hit the crossbar and posts than it is to hit the back of the net, how the hell do we keep doing it ALL the time! Its getting seriously weird now!

    He's no right winger thats for sure, but I still think he can develop into a very useful midfielder. He's been signed because he is young and has very good technique on the ball, he should and will get a lot better with the more games he plays. How can anyone judge a 21 year old just 7 months into his Liverpool career! If we've seen no improvement in 12 months time then i'd start to worry.

    Given how much possession the mancs had at Anfield in the last game I can understand why Kenny has gone with that team. It looks pretty solid, if lacking a bit in creativity so we really need a big performance from Downing and Gerrard.

    Some quick maths to show just how racist our support is. 2 incidents this season, 40,000 liverpool supporters at each of those games gives us a grand racist total of 0.002%.

    For me Lee Mason is hands down the worst ref I have ever seen in my lifetime. I've never seen a ref get so many easy decisions wrong. He truly is awful!

    How can they give him an 8 match ban when they admit themselves that the verdict was not "beyond all reasonable doubt". You can't condemn him on the basis he was 'probably' guilty, it just makes them look like amateurs. This wont stand, at the very least I expect the 'sentence' to be reduced. Interesting!
