PODCAST: Liverpool 7 (SEVEN) Manchester United 0 - Match Reaction

What a result. What a performance. Our biggest ever win against United and the biggest sign yet that the team are finally coming back to form. A clean sheet, seven goals from the forwards and an afternoon that we'll never forget.

Paul Natton and Ian Brown join TLW Editor Dave Usher to try to make sense of what we just witnessed. Sit back, get comfortable and enjoy. This one is special.

"Bobby's more mobile than Kenny" - well, when the latter's 72, that's probably true, but how many people who talk about Dalglish's lack of pace actually saw him in his prime? There wasn't widespread chatter at his peak about how incredibly slow he was. No, he wasn't that fast, but he wasn't the snail-paced chugger that some seem to claim today. We didn't start those rapid counter-attacks only for the other forwards to stop and put their foot on the ball, saying, 'Hang on, let's wait for Kenny to catch up'. Never happened. So let's downgrade this particular myth, pronto.

Otherwise: very entertaining episode.

Unsurprisingly this is the most downloaded episode so far. Second highest was the Madrid one though, so at least no-one can say you only listen when we're winning.

It's been slowly increasing since we started so it's good that we're gaining listeners rather than losing them, shows we must be doing something right.

International break coming up soon so we'll come up with something different for that and maybe do another listeners questions section.

Is that total downloads across all the available platforms?

Great news that it is growing, well done.

Total downloads. I think the biggest surprise for us and the clearest sign people enjoy listening is that the numbers from defeats didn't drop off, so the result didn't really influence whether people listened or not.

I listen to them all but usually wait a couple of days after a defeat but feel better after the listen.

Can you measure how many people listen to it directly from say Spotify rather than downloading it Dave? I haven't been downloading them ( at least I think I'm not anyway) although I've listened to all of them.

It's not meaningless, twatting them is always worth it and that was amazing. In the case of the season and side we are, we are still fucking wank and some of our players egos still haven't been brought back down to earth in spite of a season full of performances that should humble anybody.

I'm in kneejerk mode I think I will be until I at least have my tea.
