  1. Surely there's been more than 20 clubs in the Premier League since 2020? What an odd sentence. I love the BBC more than just about anybody, but even I'm starting to lose faith in them. Awful.
  2. Excellent. I can actually hear deluded Gary Neville loving this out loud on his next podcast: "It's clear Manchester United Football Club need the best in class, and they have it in Sir Jim. Footballing success starts from the floor up, and now Manchester United Football Club have started that process...literally." And meanwhile, the world will just keep on smiling and shaking our heads.
  3. Can I really hate Joey Barton and still think 'stick to Dragons Den you little tit' is funny. He's going to get sued by Jeremy Vine very soon, and I read that the likely outcome will be bankruptcy. To stay afloat, he'll have to make loads of racist comments and then start a Crowd Funder on the back of them. They love to give their money to racists that lot. https://x.com/CliveWismayer/status/1787797203479576869
  4. Paul, I think the podcast on visualisation was referring to Antony Gordon. It stuck in my craw as much as it did my mind as they were shocked that somebody from Liverpool could do such a thing. On the FSG criticism, I do agree with you that what we have is the preferred model - mixing established big buy quality alongside youth development. We need a pathway for homegrown talent, but that pathway needs to be a supported one to ensure quality development and the correct balance in the first team. But I also do think that it is easy to say it is brilliant right now because we do currently have that blend. For me, FSG were absolute mingebags at a few key points in Klopp's reign. There weren't talented youngsters that were ready, and there were clearly visible holes that they wouldn't spend money on filling. My own belief is that was a choice. Anyway, as ever, I agree with about 99% of what you say. (I even agreed with your Salah rant and I hadn't had 5 cans....!) Great listen again - ta.
  5. Manchester Untied owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes spotted out shopping in Manchester yesterday.
  6. He was great in the Elephant Man. Which will endear him to most of their midfield who understand what it's like to be afflicted by public ridicule.
  7. I liked it. This crop of omnipresent pundits are all banter and backslapping as a rule. "Soccer AM" has a lot to answer for. But that was funny. They should have cut him off, like.
  8. Excellent listen once again - well done to all. Love it, Paul! Salah was out of order, and it is right that he is castigated. Interesting that his stats were held up against Luis' and seen to fall short. But let's not forget that Luis acted in a much worse way than Mo. I am in the sell camp (though I just can't see it happening). But if he does go, I hope he is rightly held in the highest regard, especially when his behaviour is measured against people like Suarez who is still majorly loved by parts of this community! But yes, thanks again - I do like the different viewpoints. Good squad rotation, Dave!
  9. Love you, Ezza! Best post of the day. Thank you! * But know that this will be bookmarked. Just saying.
  10. His languid running style does him no favours. And the fact that we don't see him actually running that much is another thing that does him no favours. Someone above said he injects pace to our game. I agree. When he plays the ball through the thirds directly to our front line, I love it. But his tendency to slow the game by dwelling on it, or having no urgency about him, I think is killing us. I think it's time to either move him or sell him. We have to recalibrate our thinking and never play him at RB again. It should be Bradley and Joe fighting it out for RB and Trent fighting it out with Macca or Dom for a midfield berth. Today, he played 3 or 4 balls forward that were world class. That quality is tempered by his lack of pace (he watches too many Pirlo videos when he needs to watch a few more Gattuso videos - a bit of both, please, Trent) and things like when he chipped a ball into the centre of the pitch from the right back position to absolutely nobody which led to a West Ham attack. I wouldn't sell him. I would play him in midfield. Put him where he's dangerous and move him out of where he's a liability. Our RB can then get into wider positions running forward which has completely disappeared since Trent came back in.
  11. I reckon if we had have wrapped up the league, as we were lifting the trophy, you would have cleared your throat and gobbed at the telly.
