  1. What's the deal with the groundswell for Yes, now? Is the issue likely to come back soon? Or, has it been laid to rest?
  2. You need formal separation between state & the corporatocracy.
  3. Monsanto's patent on soy beans expires this year too.

Talking of BOB. Surely this (posted earlier) is the signature tune for BOB from Twin Peaks.
  5. Hurrah for Autumn. Only have to mow the lawn twice a week from here on in!
  6. Instead of playing more spin games, Labour should just go back to being the party of Labour. Their supporters are ripe for picking because they can increasingly see they are getting thatcherism with rounded corners.
  7. Qualified endorsement of Labor had to get shoe-horned in there didn't it. They need to be careful they aren't squeezed into the role of legitimizing Labor's (non-existent) socialist credentials.
  8. It was at the time, but they've produced much similar garbage since then.
  9. He would have been good in our death by football team, but since we abandoned that, he's struggling to reinvent himself as something relevant. Watching him bounce off strikers replaced Skrtel's vertical headers as my main light relief during games last season.
  10. The swill both of them serve up and they have the cheek to argue about "better".
  11. Most computers don't have reboot discs anymore, they have a hidden partition on the hard disk that contains the factory image. Some magic key combination during reboot usually gets you access. Of course, it all depends on make & model. If you can find that out, I'm sure we can get him going.
  12. So Dawkins wants to play god, pretty ironic really.
  13. The highlight of the series is still the over-acting of the guy from the e-street band who plays Silvio. It's surreal. It's like he's been cgi'd in from the opening credits of the pink panther.
  14. I worked for New Jersey Transit. Forgive me.
  15. True, that's kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy though isn't it. The Greens for example couldn't form a government, probably not even a coallition, but they could change the political dialog, they could mainstream views, representative of a lot of you, that aren't even given air today. Maybe they can at least precipitate a lurch to the left to offset where thatcher has dragged the labor party. If you keeping voting labor, they will keep thatcher'ing.
  16. So how many of you voted for the party that best represented your views? Or, were even in the same quadrant as you?
  17. Excel super powers. I use it,wantonly, to create overly-complex sheets to puncture the ego of self-professed excel jocks. Downside is no-one will help me anymore and those bitches are impossible to debug if you set them aside for more than about 15 minutes. Oh well!
  18. recrudescence 1 The state or fact of breaking out afresh. a.1 fig. Of a quality or state of things (usually one regarded as bad), a disease, epidemic, etc. b.1 Of a wound or sore. Also in fig. context. 2 transf. A revival or rediscovery (of something regarded as good or valuable).
  19. What are the actual, stated Israeli objectives for this offensive and how close are they to meeting them?
