I think this fair play thingy that is supposed to be kicking in soon has an influence on their situation too - they're bound to be keeping an eye on that, whilst the likes of the rich fuckers at the very top of the Prem will blatantly try to ignore or subvert the new ruling. Also the likes of Abramobitch & the sheiks literally have money to burn. Three or four £30 million plus signings per transfer window is fun to them, a chance to show their financial muscle and massage those massive egos. How do you cope with the rich kid at school when he gets a new car for his seventeenth birthday and you inherit your brother's rusty pushbike ? I can understand people's impatience, but they've got to live in the real world. The one time FSG did try to grandstand it, we ended up with Andy Carroll and Stewart fucking Downing. That £50 million for Torres could have pushed us well along the path to the top 4, and eventually the top, but spunking it had the reverse effect. And being financially motivated, nobody will be more aware of that than FSG. But to compare them to Cancer & Aids is just drama queen territory. Get a fucking grip people.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but a goalkeeper's primary purpose is to stop the ball hitting the back of the net. Hence the term goalkeeper. Anything else is a bonus and and what isn't there can be worked on. Mignolet is by no means the finished article, but those who want to dwell on his sometimes errant distribution and forget what he does are negative, picky & frankly dumb. The old saying goes that a good keeper will earn you around 10 points a season. Mignolet has earned us 4 so far. In his first 2 games. Which were both clean sheets. Reina had run his race here, I think he'd lost some of that hunger that defines top class from their lesser rivals. That absolute burning desire to not concede. That same desire that Mignolet clearly shows. Whatever Mignolet can't do that Reina does, the baton has been passed. The badly King has gone, long live the King.

I'm still trying to figure how this thread will be turned to show that it's all Brendan Rodgers's fault. And Rafa's. Is this the right place to mention that a certain small Brazilian cost us around £8mill and has lit up the Premiership ? Yeah, he's a cunt is Rodgers.

The editor involved with that article should be thoroughly embarrassed. A cracking example of how bad the press really is in this country. To be reduced to writing utter wankery like that to attain sales indicates how desperate some of these cunts are. The writer, editor and every other twat involved in the publishing of that should be sacked as an example. But he'll probably get promoted.

If (when) we lose Suarez, and Spurs lose Bale, who will be the more weakened team overall ? I know it depends on who the replacements are, but looking at the end of last season and this pre-season, I think Spurs will miss Bale shitloads more than we will miss Suarez.

I've done it at work. My brother in law is black, and we worked together for a few years. A new starter started talking behind my brother in law's back, quite nasty racial stuff and claimed he would "turn the black ******** lights out" if he looked at him again. I offered to introduce them, and casually mentioned that my brother in law ran his own full contact Kung Fu school. He declined the offer, strangely enough. Once a few other people within earshot speculated aloud as to how much damage would be inflicted upon him, he nipped out for a fag break. And didn't bother coming back. He wasn't missed either.

The thing about Code is that everything is about HIS opinion. Unfortunately for him, Rodgers & FSG don't give a flying fuck about some unstable Norgie's fantasy "facts" and therefore refuse to follow his blueprint. Therefore he gets more bitter and cynical about the club he "supports".

Aye, he's got a few seasons left in him yet, there'll be one more big hoorah day when he announces when he's finally hanging up his boots. He's more than earned that right. It'll be my 9 year old lad's first visit to Anfield on Saturday, he's already pissing himself with excitement ! So am I, come to think of it. It's been a while for me too.........
