  1. Started with $500 in 2019 and got it up to $40K at one point. Got out in November/December with around $15K and haven't bought since so pretty happy, although If I had more conviction in some of my plays could have made it big. It is a lot easier to play once you have been through a market cycle. I got hammered in 2018 bear market, but haven't made the same mistakes this time. I'll be putting it back in when the time is right as well. This stuff is going nowhere, the same arguments about there being no one to buy were made in 2018 as well, there will always be someone willing to play the game. New narratives will form and "this time it will be different". Imagine that NFT's will have a major role to play in it as well.
  2. Not been paying much attention to all this recently but this guy has apparently been well on the ball. Some thoughts on where we might be heading.
  3. Worded it badly on my part, was meant to address the ethics of the people making it rather than the source of the money itself.
  4. PGA have handled this shite. They are going to have to compromise they don’t have a leg to stand on at this point. Hard to knock the players for taking it imo. Yeah the moneys dirty but would be a bit miffed if I was Poulter etc as to why I should turn it down as you watch your own governments and seemingly every facet of sport embrace it lining their own pockets in the process, yet suddenly the line is drawn at golfers of all people. The horse bolted on this stuff long ago, best just make peace with it at this point. Shit spectacle for the fans though no doubt about that. Nothing really at stake when everyone’s laughing all the way to the bank. Hopefully the majors will be a bit more pragmatic in their approach. Pretty much the only ones I watch these days anyway, they should remain in tact.
  5. Who's taking him this summer though if we want to get rid? PSG just dropped a load of money on Mbappe and City have Haaland now. I guess the only one would be Madrid maybe after getting shafted on Mbappe. Other than that though I see no other options at this late stage. I'm resigned to a bit of a side show next season as he runs the contract down. Seems the most realistic option of a shit situation.
  6. They are genuinely absolutely raging that this is not being pinned on Liverpool fans. The current line is that the club printing thousands of fake tickets themselves (the hacking of the scouting data gives credence to this) and are currently in collusion with the BBC to cover it up, and just generally have an iron grip on the media who are petrified of the club and its fans. Not exaggerating any of this at all, seems way worse from them then any other sets of fans from what I can see.
  7. Whilst I'm probably being very naïve. I do have a slither of hope that the government will be more proactive with this as it would be seen as giving one the French which might help score points with the Brexit brigade, even if it is Liverpool involved. Obviously wouldn't do it out of any sense of duty of course.
  8. I know I shouldn't look but the state of the blue moon forum is something else. Absolutely deranged.
  9. Said it in the match thread, but most fans are salivating at the prospect of trouble and a chance to score points and shit on Hillsborough victims. They’re disappointed it didn’t turn out worse.
  10. I feel so gutted about tonight. I could take a defeat easy, for me alarm bells rang massively after that wolves game the team looked completely spent, but the stuff before the game just killed it for me and all the shit that will go with it regardless of what actually happened has just left me so flat it’s horrid. In this post truth world been feeling a real groundswell with attitude towards Hillsborough over the past few years, the man city stuff in the semi isn’t in isolation and tonight will just add more fuel. Just get this sense of utter desperation for the type of trouble we saw tonight to justify their hatred of this club and it’s fans. I think so lowly of way too many that there was a sense of glee at the possibility of it developing into something more serious to score the points they so crave so bad. The bile and hatred that has come with the recent success has just killed my enthusiasm for this sport, but at the same time cannot completely let go and move on. Really hope it’s just an overreaction in the moment, but wow it feels shit right now. Would have rather been stuffed 3-0 fair and square.
  11. Feels like a bit of a stretch to say Son would poison the club tbh. Yeah he can be a tit on the pitch but outside of that never seen a bad word around attitude, influence etc and would probably say more about us if any of that was allowed to seriously impact players in the group if it came to fruition. Klopp clearly holds him in high regard as well. Will never happen anyway but would have snapped your hand off for him hypothetically.
  12. https://news.sky.com/story/bank-of-england-forecast-suggests-britons-will-soon-feel-profound-economic-pain-not-felt-for-a-generation-12605879 Painful 6-12 months ahead
  13. I reckon it will be DeSantis thats gets the nod and he will wipe the floor with the Dems in the next election. Seems to be a slicker version of Trump which is all they really need. The absolute state of that Tik tok though, the Democrats are an absolute mess.
  14. Well yeah that goes without saying, but they're usually pretty savvy in the day to day running of things/general decision making etc More from a PR standpoint than any financials is what I was getting at. Crypto is pretty unpopular from a mainstream perspective at the moment and is under the spotlight more than most. I don't agree with some of reasons but thats just the way it is for now.
  15. Whilst you're right and they are generally astute they have also been prone to some massive tone deaf errors of judgement. I could just see them ending up with egg on their face again with this and the recent NFT stuff doesn't inspire confidence that they really have any understanding on what they are doing. It's weird how City, another well run club also got caught out. I've dabbled in crypto for awhile and have absolutely no idea what 3key is. Just seem strange that the due diligence button gets switched off when jumping into bed with crypto companies.
  16. Wouldn't have a problem with this if it weren't for the fact that I have zero faith in the club hierarchy doing this properly. There are legit crypto companies, but based on how they've handled it so far I get the impression they will jump in with anybody and that is how they will end up getting burned. The NFT stuff was dumb from the get go (and I'm not as anti NFT as others) and tells you they have no understanding and just chasing the buck. Unless it's someone like FTX who are legit they are better off steering clear IMO.
  17. The top half of the Prem would wipe the floor with most of Europe apart from maybe a handful of teams. Can’t remember the last time European football was this poor.
  18. Probably because he doesn’t play for the right political team. It’s the usual suspects up in arms from what I’ve seen.
  19. Who's the commentator who wets himself every time warrington throws a punch. His best shot has been the headbutt all night.
  20. Riakporhe got serious power
  21. Turning red - This was really great, best Pixar film I've seen in a long time. Would highly recommend. One of those I think anyone can get something out of it. The batman - Thought was pretty good. Wasn't perfect, Pattinson was great but thought Gordon was dull as dishwater, Alfred was wasted and had a grating geezer accent. The final act felt like it was just added on at the end a bit as well, should have brought it all together better. Still enjoyed it though overall.
  22. If they were Ebanie bridges would be undefeated.
  23. Root must honestly be one of the worst captains I've ever seen for any country. Im really struggling to think of someone who is worse. I was never a fan of Cook's captaincy, he was too defensive but at least he had a style even if you didn't agree with it and he handled the players well. Root just seems clueless in every department, not a single redeeming feature.
  24. The systems so broken though that one of the only ways to actually improve your standard of living is through inheritance of some form if you are fortunate enough. Getting that aggressively taxed away just seems to further promote the perpetual race to the bottom that seems to have gripped this country for decades now.
  25. Got to admit whilst he is respected as a manager nearly every I know seems to really hate him. It's little to do with Liverpool itself and mainly driven by a perception that he is THE media darling and seemingly gets away with murder on the touchline with refs and just general antagonistic behaviour when he loses which always goes unpunished or brushed off by the media. Don't see anything remotely similar towards the players. Salah and Mane dive and thats about as bad as it gets.
