  1. Cool!! We'll play Kenny behind Torres and move Gerrard to a more orthodox midfield role.
  2. I can't really be arsed hating anyone. I genuinely don't mean offence to the thread starter or contributors. it's just not really an aspect of footie that I can be bothered to devote time to.
  3. Hahaha...Now is not the time to make me laugh - I am in too much pain, you git!!
  4. I tried to get one Yesterday... "Sorry we have nothing left today." "Okay can I book one for tomorrow please." "No. You can only phone and book on the day itself, we open at 08:00" "Oh. Okay." I phone back today at 08:00 exactly. The phone is engaged for 20 minutes. Finally I get through... "Can I make an appointment please? I am in a lot of discomfort." "No we have nothing left. You will have to wait until Monday." "I absolutely cannot wait any longer. I need to see a Doctor." "Can we phone you back about something." "No. I need to see a Doctor. I have been in considerable pain and discomfort for too long." "Phone back after 14:00 today, and we'll try to get you an emergency appointment." Since when did this become acceptable in this country? Why do we have to put up with this? I even phoned NHS direct to be told only to stay on the line if it was urgent - due to the volume of calls. How do I know how urgent it is? Do I have to perform my own triage? I don't want to get party political...however as a civillisied nation we should put more focus on routine health care. The money is available - we have just used some of it to bail out banks.
  5. My 6 year old daughter is starting to show an interest. I asked her who her favourite player was expecting her to say Gerrard or Torres...she repliedthat it was Mascherano because he jumps in front of the other team's players and takes the ball from them. :o I need to take her to a match soon to cement her relationship with LFC.
  6. Okay, so I am feeling slightly bitter towards them, but please read on there is an underlying point that is valid irrespective of last night's result. I understand that in this seasons (and some previous) European fixtures Chelsea FC place scarves on the seats of their 'faithful' in an attempt to act as a catalyst to cultivate an atmosphere desrving of the competition. Have they not realised that this is pointless if they have to keep doing it. This would infer that different people are going to each game and nobody is bringing any flags back - they don't care. Also they are missing the point that, probably the atmosphere they crave comes from the hearts of the crowd. You cannot cultivate it. I don't want to turn this into a post evangelising our legendary support (even though I would like to) after all ther are lots of those - so I will use Celtic as a reference and there are many many others across europe. My point? Stop putting out scarves/flags and admit you are small time. You may as well play "I feel good!" across the tannoy when your team scores. Neg me for repetition and stating the obvious. I don't care today. Well played the reds. Onwards to premiership glory!!
  7. That was a worth a booking. Such a good player - he doesn't need to cheat in that weasle-esque manner. The ref was played for a fool.
  8. You scored 7 out of a possible 10 You could get an international call-up if you maintain this kind of form...
  9. Hilarious show. Harry Hill makes it even funnier - previously I was never a fan of his. My only contention is how come the £250 they pay contributors has never risen with inflation.
  10. Hats off. Really decent of them. Nice touch to have the YNWA in red.
  11. A difficult read but a very powerful piece of writing, for me. "...you also weep for the fools who believe “The Truth” "
  12. I saw her as we were leaving the kop. Just a bird was was 40 today.
  13. flmao Awesome picture. Without the tits, it would look like a dude.
  14. Grandad. Whilst frustratedly fiddling with the new microwave... "I'm trying to get the Dukes of Hazzard, Dell!"
  15. Interesting that I saw this post. I am 40 and have terrible handwriting. I recently decided to change it and followed an online guide to writig in italics. I am still practicing but it looks a bit better already...only been about 4 weeks. I don't think it will ever look brilliant, but it is an improvement.
  16. That's class!! My missus tries to convince me that it is not funny when I fart. Things like "You're 40!! Stop wafting the covers in my face - it is not funny", just make me laugh louder!
  17. The hot blonde from work would be in my dream...but other than that it is close.
  18. The war memoirs are superb!
  19. for that change...play the D on the fifth...easy change from C#m. The D would be the bar shape of the open A Major.
  20. It may not be the advice you want, but I would recommend you learn Bar chords...they're not as hard as you think (don't put up a mental barrier to your progress). Once you learn them you will prefer them to the open chord shapes.
  21. I am scared of wasps. So, I could never visit Australia! :o I mean I am sure it is lovely but there are too many snakes, lizards, crocs, snakes, salties, sharks, wasps, spiders etc. One thing I do love though is the way the Aussies call things how they see are...for instance there is an adder which is highly poisonous. They call it "The Death Adder". What a great name. It simply leaves no questions neediong to be asked.
  22. I would try to get a discount, but I am shit at that sort of thing. With my negotiating skills I would end up paying them an extrta 20 quid, because the credit crunch is affecting them too. I would then sit and stew on my couch, thinking of all the clever things I should have said.
  23. I am better at taking defeats if I am at the match. if I am at home watching it on telly, I get grumpy and shout at the kids for something.
