    Look mate, I'm lukewarm on Rafa, which is as good as he'll get at the moment, but calling people sad fuckers because they're calling for his head (which is a viewpoint I can understand, if not personally subscribe to) isn't really going to help.

    Somebody posted something similar to my thoughts on another thread about him, I can't remember who though so apologies. He can be a very good winger, blessed with good technique and good recycling of possession. He can also be a very poor winger, with a propensity for running into people and overhitting crosses with alarming regularity. You can generally tell which Albert Riera is going to be playing within about 10 minutes. Last night it was pretty clear which it was: he was poor no doubt. But he's played some good games for us and I like having him in the squad.

    Seriously harsh judging him on his performance against Sunderland. He wasn't great by any means, but as a team we were rank that day and he at least had the excuse of being a young lad in a struggling team - an excuse I've used for Insua in the past so it's only fair that should be extended to others. A move to Leeds would do him good - they're League 2 but from what I've seen this season they're streets ahead of that level. They play decent enough football and in front of far bigger crowds and under higher pressure than the reserves ever do. Hope this is true.

    Aye, maybe appealing would back them into a corner and force them to look at the grock's role in the incident. But I gave up trusting the FA to apply common sense a long time ago, as you say!

    I hope we don't do anything daft like appealing the Greek's red card. It'd fail. But I sincerely hope Fellaini is retrospectively cited and punished equally. I won't hold my breath though.

    I hate Ferdinand almost as much as I hate Terry. The thought of either of them lifting the World Cup first and being remembered in lore like Bobby Moore makes me shudder, and completely removes any warmth of feeling I was getting towards England under Capello.
