Solanke has a lot to do but who in their right mind votes for Origi “shakes head”

Roy Hodgson, know your role and shut your mouth

This is the thing for me that really annoys. Quite apart from his ineptitude other than tactically organising inferior teams, The man is a nasty cunt. We cotttoned on to it quite early which was a big part of why we just weren’t having him. If you’ve seen that motd interview knocking round that is him without the wise old man mask. Twat -
Def. agree part from the last bit, which I think is what marks him out as a t least a potential great. He doesn’t do anything brilliantly but he’s got the desire/hunger/whatever - you don’t find a top player without it. Of course talent elevates it further but Kane has it. Still a twat for that camera 2 chances comment and the Spurs love in is really grating, I still don’t really get it

May have been posted before; if you like Sci fi, the expanse on Netflix is good

younger than he did for us then

Apols if posted before, can’t be arsed looking. When did it become a thing to talk about football positions using numbers? Am on a FA level 1 coaching course at the moment and tbh it’s better than expected because the tutor is sound and his big thing is ‘does it look like football’ I.e. how do you apply it in the real world. However, he’s talked abou attacking using ‘no.9’ & ‘’no 10’ - eh? We all know what he means but there are more useful descriptors surely? What does that mean to kids - noticed that even Klopp does it re: midfielders (and I like Klopp, more than my wife) I.e. no.8, no. 6. Am I just an old git? Surely this dosen’t Capture the nuances of the roles

Good Q. Depends on definition of late but I reckon yes to Tin Machine, Outside, Next Day and Blackstar. Anything else since Scary Monsters not so much imo

Loads of one eyed snobbery on this thread. He’s no Gerrard/Alonso etc but we’ll miss him when he’s gone

Fairly standard celeb behaviour I’d say. I stand by my summary over the course of his life/career. Remember seeing him on parky prob late 90s next to Victoria beckham and he was polite but clearly v disturbed by the whole celeb hoopla. Which suggests that even fame hungry young cunts mature

I’m sorry, opinions and all that but are you blind?

Britpop I agree is a lazy bollocks label. Some really good stuff in the 90s and shite too (like any era). However on topic I will say I think Blur are still v underrated - seen them a few times and good times

Tried a few but for me E is the winner. Cost to benefit ratio, what a value proposition (in corporate terms) no contest. Bit of a miserable comedown but not too bad and not appropriate to do all the time, so win win. Closest to spiritual enlightenment with top notch pills in a) the state (yes, old) and DC10 Ibiza

Here's my q for the ww 2 buffs (genuine); was the Battle of Britain as big a deal as depicted?

I happened to watch 'The Longest Day' recently; never seen and thought it would be interesting, but Christ the acting was unwatchable. From no mark to the big name stars I thought it was just ham. Maybe the sign of the times of early 60s when I believe it was regarded as a bit of a classic. But shite, things have def improved
