  1. It's not "a little more" though. He apparently wants twice what he's on now. Considering he's been out injured for almost a year and risks being second choice once Skrtel is back, I can see why we can't/won't give him that. I'll be sad to see him go, mind. Hopefully we're able to solve the situation.
  2. Good stuff. About time someone told the truth about the fucking purple nosed cunt.
  3. Getting their excuses in early.
  4. Danish commentator just said that it's Little Luis' first league start since october? Is that true? Fuckin' hell.
  5. It seemed like Pepe was having a good laugh about one of Keane's misses today.
  6. Considering his general movement, intelligence and awareness you're giving him an awful lot of credit if you asume that he would've taken the positions that Keane did today even if he had played up front. If Babel had the intelligence to get into those positions we probably wouldn't be having threads like these.
  7. I first heard it sung by a few lads on the Kop at the Reading game last season when Mascherano scored. The words then were "Teenage mutant Martin Skrtel, hero in a red shirt, Skrtel power!"
  8. Gives a whole new meaning to the terms "home crisis" and "shit at home" doesn't it. We're also top of the league which gives a whole new meaning to the term "top of the league".
  9. It means we've been the best team in the league for the first half of the season. Of course that's something to be excited about. It doesn't guarantee us the league title come may, agreed, but it's a damn good starting point.
  10. It's easy to get confused when there are three bookable offences in the same incident. Studs raised Blow to the head Kicking the ball away after the whistle had gone Give us a dance now, you dirty cunt.
  11. Get the fuck in. We are top of the league, we are top of the league! Ok, so let's get back to the moaning now.

    Babel

He'd probably beat the shit out of him with one if he ever put in that sort of disinterested performance for the mancs though.
  13. I really don't get this argument. I thought we went for it by putting on two pacy wingers and keeping Gerrard up top (until Ngog came on) since he's our biggest goal threat and always the most likely player to knick a goal when we need one. Keane was invisible in the second half so had to come off and Riera always looks knackered after haft time so can't complain too much about that either. We were inches away from winning it. It's frustrating since I think we deserved it but I don't think Rafa's "fear" cost us anything. If he was afraid he wouldn't have put on three attacking players.

Ok, sorry. Still think 22 is too old to be considered a young talent. He needs to at least show a minimum of effort. El Zhar looked twice the player when he came on today and I seriously doubt he'll ever be a regular in the Premiership. But he actually looked like he cared and got on with it. And it's not because he's playing week in week out.

I agree with the point that young talent needs to be nurtured and that patience is important etc etc etc... WHEN THEY'RE YOUNG! Babel's what, 23? I might be wrong but isn't that about the same age as the likes of Mascherano, Alonso and Torres when they got here? It's too late to be nurtured.
  16. It was a good result. We could've won which would've been a great result.

Really impressive performance today. Definitely one of the big positives from this game. He was playing against Denilson which probably helped a little. He might struggle against a better and more natural winger, but so far so good. I'm very optimistic for the lad. He deserves more games.

    Babel

Agreed. El Zhar looks a lot more likely to make something happen.
